Much appreciated! Cheers :)
You should ad extra anejo to the list. There's some amazing ones aged for 3+ years that are incredibly smooth. Don fulano is one of my favorite. Aged 5 years in sherry casks
Tequila and Mezcal are my favorites, but I had never heard of Sotol before. I’ve tried Bacanora which is another agave based spirit made in Sonora MX

Nice, we haven't tried Bacanora. Did you like it?
One thing I’ve learned about tequila, it pays to buy better quality. You can probably get a cheap bourbon or vodka and be fine but a cheap tequila is a recipe for disaster.

I agree, it's definitely worth paying a little more for better quality tequila. I would say the same about bourbon in most cases, and with vodka there are certainly high value vodka's out there, like Tito's, which aren't expensive but taste great.

You always want to look to make sure it is 100% agave. Cheaper tequilas have all kinds of additives

Thanks for the kind words! We hope sotol continues to get the love it deserves-- cheers!
Yeah there are other kinds of agave spirits like sotol, lechuguilla, raicilla, bacanora and others not well known not even for mexicans, because they are more difficult to get or they are just known where they are made.

So true. The agave spirit world is big, and you'd really have to do some extensive travel in Mexico to find them all. That said, I'm hoping more can grow and find their way into US markets. I know I'd love to try them.

Thanks for bringing that up. I’ve only tried Bacanora, which is made in Sonora where my mom was from. My Abuelita (Grandma) used to make some
Just this much likes????? Such a shame to the bartenders community. Such information and description would have earned alot of likes man... I hope you guys grow fast .

Thanks so much, Ankush! Appreciate the love.
Great intro video! Would love to see what other less known bottles you have especially if you are in Texas..

We actually don't have a ton of lesser known bottles in our bar! However, we did just last week get in some Rey Campero Jabalí mezcal that has notes of tropical orange fruit. It's quite good.
Is there a difference between labels? I see 100% agave 100% de agave 100% blue agave What is the difference?

No difference other than the choice of words! These are all 100% blue agave. Tequila has to be distilled from blue agave.
Imo: Mezcal is disgusting in a margarita. I will never buy that again.

😂 Hey, nothing wrong with that! Do you have a favorite cocktail that features Mezcal?
