I visit him every summer, but due to COVID-19, I couldn’t visit him for the past 2 years. But we still call each other. 3 days ago, my grandpa suffered a mild stroke. It affected his speech. I was so stressed. I couldn’t sleep all night. Doc said he was fine, but it could get more serious. Once I heard his voice, it scared me. I’m worried I might lose him. I’m not ready yet, I want him to watch me grow, watch me start a family. I pray every night for him I hope his condition gets better soon. It’ll be so much different when I visit his house in the summers. I hope he gets better. Get better grandpa!

I have a little box in my room that I painted my favorite colors on. I am a writer, and I write my most meaningful pieces when I listen to songs like this. In my box I write mini letters to whoever I am thinking about at the moment and I just write how I feel about them or about life. Maybe someday I will give the little notes to those who’s names are on it.
