I am 56 and love watching these videos. I am into wild camping but this takes me back to my childhood building dens. Pure escapism from the madness of today.
Great camp Damian, very relaxing to watch, chopping wood and feeding your little tent stove looks a great way to spend an evening 👍

Its relaxing and therapeutical sitting there next to a warm stove while listening to the wind and rain outside. Makes you feel alive and close to nature. Thanks for watching Graham.
Always good to follow your humour and challenges. Good on you Damien. Harry

Good morning from Thailand! Was just about to get up but I’ll have another 20 mins and watch this. Nice one!

Hey Damien…I wondered if the reason your batteries started to work was due to bringing them into the teepee? The added warmth might have brought back to life. Great seeing you again!

I thought that about cold killing the cells but batteries have been used on other cold weather trips and haven't died. I also checked potential voltage on all of them when fully charged and all are the same voltage. There's a chance all batteries are getting weak at the same rate so will do more testing and report in future video. ATB.

@@Fell_Wanderer I don’t know how you slept at all with all that wind. It seems to put me on edge to where I can’t sleep, even indoors. Always has. It’s a combination of wondering if a limb or tree will come down, the sheer noise factor, and the fact that it ‘distorts’ all other noises so you can’t quite hear if there’s something else going on outside you need to be concerned about! 😳
Yes what a treat seeing this thanks damo ❤

Need to do further testing with regards to battery drain but they may have got better once in the warmth of the Teepee. Its luxury having heat in the shelter Adrian, well worth getting one

For a slapped together tepee you sure have had great use from it bro, nature is really doing a number on the trees there and transformed how it looked before. As always a great video. Safe travels. Ken.

I'm enjoying while it lasts as one day it will be discovered and taken down. Its a shame about the trees blown down but they are a crop and would be harvested eventually. There is plenty of building material because of it.
Great job on the teepee Damien you made it look easy 3 camera's on the go your some David Bailey 😂😂 that wind was strong is that the night I was up at my old camp my light battery's lost power very quick last night the temperature was freezing catch up soon mate atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍

It was the night you were there because I passed your car going home. The funny thing with batteries going flat, it only happens sometimes. The night we were all at my location, the lights were left on for ages iluminating the social area and didn't go flat until completely emty, it was below freezing as well. There are other times when its warmer temperatures and batteries fail so its strange why it happens?
Great video damo as usual mate so thank you for making it for us You didn’t seem your normal self on this one I hope your doing ok buddy and your family are all good to 🙏 All the best matey

I'm enjoying the moment while it lasts. Sooner or later it will be found out and will look for somewhere new. Mash isn't nice unless there's salt, pepper and butter added. It was convenience food I had to use because of the sell by date. Thank you for your comment, ATB.

I've used the batteries when colder and they didn't fail as you would expect then fail when conditions are a lot milder. I know that a battery can have a bad cell inside which will work ok in warm weather and fail in the cold, like a car battery does. Its totally baffling me, thanks for the sub and welcome to the channel, ATB.

simple trick for high phone battery usage in low signal areas is turn on flight mode - but remember to reset it if you need it in an emergency or before you set off home

Cracking Forrest, I think it's your imagination working overtime why you feel there's strange goings on, when you're in desolate places on your own it's only natural, happens to us all.
Altlright Damien, did you get to follow thise links i sent regarding big foot finds?, just interested, love the harwood camps but cant help thinking jow and then its a vast expanse of forrestry and very hard to spot things through the trees. I was in the gorces and we got to go into forrestry blocks to practice harbour areas and those were errire

I don't know if it is just me, but the audio inside the Teepee was really bad, hissing like a gale force and then, when you went outside, it got much better. Next morning was fine too. Other than that niggle, great camp out even if you did eat the dog's dinner. 😉🤦👍

I used different audio on the multi camera edit to the scenes outside the teepee. The mistake was I was too far from the shotgun microphone, Its a directional mic and was facing away a lot of the time so audio was quiet. Usually I can turn up the gain but was so windy and it only increased the wind noise. I've learned from that and changed the way I do things.
Another great relaxing video to watch - Another Tuber Vanessa ... Having people poo all over her camps and leave vile messages. Insane ... what low lifers are around. Safe camping - Maybe a trail cam would be handy. to see visitors to you're location.

There is something paranormal in that place. Anomolies that happen on their own are easily dismissed as natural or coincidental etc.. but over the years when added up, a pattern develops which doesn't happen in other locations I've been to.

noticed ya still using the horned sign, and ya wonder why things are going wrong and flat
@Fell_Wanderer

I think it maybe paranormal behaviour or even the cold is the reason with batteries going flat. Still not convinced the horns have any influence on things. There is something in the forest, I've heard it on audio recordings. Not felt any negative energy or seen anything definite in all the years being there so wish I had something more tangable to go off
