@*Floofy shibe* Those are the technique classes you can learn. Fundamentals to me are the basics of the basics. Weapon using. Tactical knowledge (she used all she could here while trying to learn Temari's abilities but Temari is an annoying one trick pony that counters her). Combat stuff such as basic taijutsu and space awareness which she displays here perfectly. She's still trash and i don't give a shit about her, but people shit on her too much and at this point she had some potential. Also displays good chakra control being able to use the summoning scrolls are masterfully as she did.

You do realize ninjas are fictional nonsense. It's the same to say as "all hitmens wear black suits, are bald and have bar logo tattooed at the back of their head". There was no order of ninjas and ninjas didn't have magical powers. Ninja is equal to western term assassin. Just some random on the job killer. Maybe sneaking inside to murder someone. Just a killer with any origin, samurai/peasant etc. There wasn't official way to obtain ninja title, it's just Japanese killer, assassin doing the work.

Plus there is a lot you can do with summoning weapons but of course kishi never cared so we ended up with nothing from tenten.

Tentens scrolls are a form of sealing jutsu (fuinjutsu). The Uzumaki clan were pretty much hunted down because their sealing jutsu was OP as hell. Imagine specializing in that and all you do with it is use it to store and throw weapons.

0:27 Hokage: I've seen this raw strength only once before.

I know everyone makes fun of ten ten for being the weakest and to an extent that is true however she's not that bad. She apparently never misses so the only reason she got her ass kicked so hard was because she was against Temari who was a hard counter to her strategy. If she faught against any close range fighter they would have had a difficult time dealing with her. Also she seems to have this strange ability where she instantly masters every weapon she touches. Knowing this it's a wonder the village didn't give her access to any special or mythical weapons. If she was in the village hidden in the mist she would have been a badass if she could get her hands on one of those swords. In a weird and cruel way it feels like Ten ten was born in the wrong village.

True. Like, shikamaru for exemple. A genius and the only one there good enough to be a chunin. But 100 kunais are 100 kunais. He has no defensive jutsu and is not very fast. This is honestly a REALLY good display for temari. Temari was fast enough to dodge tenten’s shuriken while standing in place at 0:51 and deflected all of her weapons in the time it took one frame to pass at 1:28. Tenten was fighting someone that was physically stronger and much faster than her, and had a jutsu that completed negated all of her offensive options. This was a really bad opponent for her

Actually Temari shown a lot of mercy to Ten Ten. She could hurt and humiliate her waay more, with her own weapons. But she chose to be nice and just broke her spine xD

The back break with the fan is honestly one of the coldest disrespects in anime history.

Yeah. I think it’s just a poor match up for TenTen. Wind style pretty much counters everything she’s doing. I think she had a lot of potential in terms of growth, and I can think of quite a few loveseats for her that would be pretty useful. But the writers never gave her too much attention

I feel like Tenten wanted to be a ribbon dancer but was told no from her parents

The way Temari repelled those attacks so fast you could barely see her doing so 😮 she was a beast in this fight loved every min of the punishment ten ten got haha. Tema has always been my fav female char

Lee is such a good guy. He caught Ten Ten after her L. Even though this female continually dogs on him and praises Neji to high heaven.

What makes the fight even worse is the fact that TenTen knew Temari's deflection technique came from her fan but did nothing to try and disarm her. That's a severe lack of intelligence on her part.

@@scribble71891 temari is a range fighter and good at using her fan as a shield/wind for deflection/pushing. If tenten would launch at temari, she would just use her jutsu. "Try disarming a person with ak47 when you only know karate"

@@lemonslice5yearsand790 You have to play smart to survive/win and TenTen surely didn't. She kept attacking foolishly knowing Temari would deflect with her fan. Hell she could've tried attaching her wires to it, since her Twin Dragons tech caused a smokescreen but maybe I'm giving her too much credit lol. Ah well.

@@scribble71891 but the problem is temari uses wind and she strong too imagine carrying a large fan with metal outer casing. And smokescreen wouldnt work either. It just bad luck for tenten to be pair with temari. much better if she was paired either ino or sakura. They would be dead. 😂. Ino has a better chance with temari tho, bcoz she doesnt know what jutsu she has.

that’s how life is going to come at leaf ninja Ten Ten is going to encounter trouble with unexpected enemies possessing different nature styles. She has to learn how to tweak her moves off every opponent so her jutsu can be of use One who doesn’t make mistakes doesn’t learn

Tenten was still a good character with so much potential

Seeing these old subs takes me back

Tenten has a unique skill and specialty, but the scroll sealing is all she has. It's too bad that it is wasted one someone that does not have the intelligence and imagination to utilize it to the full extent. Sealing justu is shown to be insanely useful in pretty much every anime its shown in, including Naruto. But when it comes to Tenten: "Throwing stuff at her didn't work, guess I'll just throw more stuff at her".

Meanwhile her parents: “Why the school bill is soo high?” Tenten family must be rich as hell. Imagine the cost per weapon

Tenten telling kids her story: *so anyways I just started throwing what was in my pockets*

Thinking within the world of reality and her skills, the only way Tenten would have won is if all of those weapons she threw had paper bombs attached to them, and she activated them after they were deflected. Separate the fan from Temari, use some sort of chain scroll to immobilize her, and point a kunai to her neck.

Exactly, like the weapons were scattered all around Temari, just trigger an explosion and that's all she wrote. I mean this unironically, she could be the Obi-Wan of the Narutoverse, just have the bare basics of being a ninja, but being so good at those basics she'd be near invisible to see and to quick to react.

Tenten specialised on a lot of individually weak attacks. This strategy myght be useful against multiple weaker opponents, but fails once your opponent is strong enough to block the attacks

Honestly, Tenten is quite skillful for being able to save that much tools but somehow she meets her full counter lol

99% of comments: *include Temari and Tenten* 1% of comments: *Rock Lee what a gentlemen's behaviour after Tenten loss*

Also, I always thought after this battle, Tenten may decide the best weapon is actually a fan like Temari's, and end up designing her own improved multi-tool Swiss army version... after all, her design always made me think that dual weilding fans like avatar Kyoshi was the way she was gonna go. But no, she went the way of rock lee, only quicker

That would have been satisfying if Tenten rethought her practice after this and got her revenge on Temari as well as development. The author left her unused potential 😔

Like she had potentiel to begin with...

I felt as though they could have done some interesting stuff with Tenten seeing as she is a "weapon specialist" she should have some kind of unique special weapon just like Temari or the seven mist ninjas but alas her only power was summoning weapons... something every ninja could do.

Biggest fan huh? 😘❤️ She’s my OG favorite 🌹

All that goes through my head when Tenten summons and throws weapons at Temari is "Random Bullshit Go!!!!"

Ten ten was literally those in game travelling shop merchants that sold you weapons and medkits.

All Tenten needed was 1 fire style jutsu, hell some exploding tags would've helped.

Kinda weird that the supposed weapon/scroll master doesn't use any paper bombs or scrolls that do anything other than summoning short ranged melee weapons/throwing weapons.

Temari's face when "catching" Tenten made me laugh so much, she just looks so disappointed with her

It's funny how this is one of the most powerful and well-animated fights in the chunin exams, although it isn't canon and never showed in the manga. They have also overbuffed Temari at 0:52 heck if that was canon she'd be considered extremely fast. I think that after the last fight with Sakura and Ino which was a fight that was looked down upon, as the first fight with females was ridiculously weak compared with the other battles. I guess the animators were tired of things like this, and so decided to show how strong the females can be during the next match or just simply look down the last one.

I love Tenten, I don't care about these comments!

This chunin exam was really bad for normal ninja like tenten

I honestly feel bad for Tenten. A weapon specialist at the point in the show where the transition to more impressive powers was really taking place. That wouldn't have mattered if she got a cool weapon like say...Temari! Gets a wicked fan and at least stays relevant through more of the show. Tenten was cute...but sadly that was all she had going for her.

Temari's attitude is just awesome

tenten weapons still far more interesting than all of kiba's tricks

You can see the third Hokage was already suffering from dementia at this point.

poor tenten, she would of dog walked both ino and sakura and possibly hinata but nah they put her up against her exact weakness.
