Good afternoon Tony, Anne and Bruno. What a great camp Tony but I have to say when you mentioned your ankle was giving you pain I was almost praying for you to turn around and go home and be warm and comfortable in your own home. However, you persisted and I as a viewer appreciated your commitment to the craft and the camp. While I miss Brucie very much as I am sure all your long time viewers do I am so glad you have Bruno to keep you company on these trips he is such a gorgeous and loving companion and watching his interactions at bed time and in the mornings melts the heart. He is a quick study and has already learned and remember so much. I appreciated your comments at cigar time and maybe its my age (70+) I do wonder if we as humanity have learned anything from history. Covid seems to have changed attitudes everywhere as well and this was something noted by my GP - he has become so disillusioned he has decided to retire rather than deal with some of the public he sees. Anyway it was a great camp, if Anne would allow you to publish her recipe for her drizzle cake that would be fantastic. Take care of yourself and look after your ankle as much as is humanly possible it would be terrible for you and for us if you were not able to do a little wild camping now and then, although I find all the camps you do very therapeutic ( as someone who is pretty much chair bound these days) Thanks again and cheers from Australia.

Bruno is one of them who doesn't want be like that. Only kind of king Bruno is a dog who enjoys being out in the rain playing with sticks.

Really enjoyed your take on the Israel and Hamas conflict. You spoke your mind about the situation and everyone should respect that regardless of how they might think about it. It's a terrible story that has gone on over there for way too long. With both sides having done things they should never have. I totally agree with your view on this. Sadly it boils down to hate. We all know what hate is, that is the definition of evil in humanity or dare say the lack of humanity.

Tony is one of the very, very few that go camping and actually speaks to their viewers. Showing the environment, his camp build, gear, having a seat and chat, all very engaging. Others are watchable, but after a while, listening to a guy as he lays inside a tent for the entire video, cooks while laying on his side and rambles on before calling it a night, isn't good material. It's not camping, it's taking a nap on a hill. This is camping. It's very much appreciated.

So happy that you're going carnivore. It's the way human beings are meant to eat. It's fun to watch you and Bruno camp. He is a cheeky boy. I'm glad he came through his surgery with no complications. As for difficult conversations and opinions offered, I am happy to listen to those with whom I disagree. It's an important human skill and I usually find I learn something. As a newly retired instructional designer, learning is still important to me. Happy spring in NZ! Tony, (hello from Ireland btw) do you ever put small rocks next to the fire to get hot, then put them in your pockets to help keep you warm? You could use a few to keep the inside of your tent warm too (put them into a tin can) And you can swap them around when they get cold and use new hot stones as needed.

I don't watch the news because I know what's out there, I don't need to have my nose rubbed in it every day. People may think I've just got my head in the sand. So be it. Hey Tony, I love all your videos, very interesting and real, especially with all your occasional unexpected little problems which you are not afraid to share with us. I would love to see More in town scenes and more city and highway driving, as many of us have likely never seen or know much about New Zealand. I am personally partial to cigar time, but no problem, you do you👍

Because I watch you, a bunch of Bushcraft videos pop into my feed. I checked one out and noticed in the comments that someone said ‘Tony says you should set up your tarp first.’ The guy who made the video replied, ‘Tony is an amateur.’ I couldn’t help but jump in and add the reply, ‘Maybe so, but Tony has 200K subs and you have 17K.’ 😂

Americans in the comments. Don't know if you'll read this, but if you're complaining about gas prices, Tony paid just over $99 for 18.5 gallons of gas. Also, those commenting on Bruno needing a coat, dogs have internal temperatures right around 102° F. Which is 4 degrees warmer than humans. If it's in the 10s or 20s he might need a coat, but in the temps Tony camps in, no. Great video Tony, and I hope the comments on cigar time don't crap all over you. (BTW, if it's any help, my first pug was with me for 10 years, and he passed in '21. I still can't talk about him without choking up. So don't feel bad about that.)

Hi Tony and Bruno. Another amazing camping adventure! Just a question, do you think any other breed dogs can manage a camping like you do? For example like the walks, the rain, the cold etc. Just a thought. Take care and looking forward for your next adventure.

Tony you must have put this video up right away - I think you said cigar time was Oct.15th? I started watching it just after midnight the 17th (PST, California). I appreciate your sober, wise if depressing words on Israel etc. Made me wonder if you and Anne moved to NZ specifically bc of its relative geographical safety (not that it's any of my business). It's now late morning Oct. 17th PST, and I turn on the TV to hear a hospital and UN centers have been bombed. Your video takes on special value in these times, as a rare moment of respite. The peace of Bruno's and your (and by extension Anne's, and Brandon's) adventures shines bright against the darkness of so much news about people tearing each other apart. 🙏I completely forgot about Bruno's surgery till you mentioned it - he seems as chipper and lively as ever. That habit of sleeping in a heavy rain (like a duck!) would be a good attribute for a sheepdog out in the wild---amazing breed. It's touching when you say it's hard for you to look at him doing that (tho mb your concern is about what happens when he gets into bed with you lol). Love that he nests in Bruce's old spot. Take care, and thanks again for your great videos and sharing your life with us.

How can you identify when you're under the influence of external control? It becomes evident when you are unable to voice criticism. For example, the Chinese population faces restrictions in criticizing the Communist Party, North Koreans are unable to criticize Kim, and there are limitations on openly criticizing Israel, as seen with Americans, Europeans, and Tony.
