Tensile Fabric Architecture: Part Four - Process

Ғылым және технология

Interested in knowing more about tensile fabric structures and the technology behind them? From yurts made out of animal skins to modern and even futuristic building schemes, this video series shows just how exciting and inspiring tensile membranes can be.
This video is the final part in a four part overview of how tensile fabric structures can benefit a design scheme.
Part four looks at the process of building a tensile fabric structure from design to installation and beyond. It identifies some of the design considerations which need to be made and how design decisions can effect everything from manufacture techniques through to methods of installation.
Parts one, two, and three talk more in depth about the materials, structural forms, benefits and practicalities of introducing a tensile fabric structure into a design scheme.

This is interesting and thank you for making this content. Also, it will be great if there is an explanation about the placement for the utilities for this structure system. Because I learn a lot from here

hi! how do you produce the fabric? do you use threads and weave them together (how if not machine made)? what is the term for the process? or do you get them in patches and sew them together? would appreciate your reply!
