Hello, everyone! Today, I'm going on a hike through the protected landscape of Rambla de Castro, one of my favorite areas in the northern part of Tenerife. I'm not sure if I've mentioned it before, but I absolutely adore trails that run along the coast or lead to the sea ;). This route is suitable for everyone, as it has a fairly low difficulty level.
The trail begins at the San Pedro viewpoint and hermitage. A bit further down, you'll reach the Casona de Castro, a well-preserved 16th-century house that will soon house the visitor center.
Continuing ahead, you'll encounter the "Mother of Water" and the San Fernando Fort, still proudly displaying its three cannons, defending the island's north from pirates, as it did in the olden days.
Finally, after a short uphill climb, you'll reach the Gordejuela water lifter. This structure marked a turning point in the island's history, incorporating the first steam engine to pump water to higher elevations. Sadly, it's abandoned today, but it remains a highly recommended spot, offering beautiful views of the coastline and the history of Rambla de Castro.
Following a failed attempt with the drone, I headed to Charco de la Laja, a spectacular natural pool. Next time I visit in the summer, I'll make a specific video for this place.

Me encanta esta zona de la Rambla de Castro sus coloridos y naturaleza , yo voy casi siempre es que me encanta y para patear está del 10 lo recomiendo para los que no la conozcan...

Muy bueno el video!!!! Solo que amigo. Al menos por escrito en el video o algo...quizás comentar que de Rambla de Castro a Charco la Laja hace falta ir en coche... pq como esto lo ve mucha gente.....que quizas no hayan venido a la isla nunca antes.. ni que vivan aqui o algo... entonces quizás puedan pensar que se puede ir andando o que haya algún sendero que conecte. Solo eso como punto a tener en cuenta.. Y de resto muy buen video!! RAMBLA De Castro es espectacular

Muchas gracias Jairo, la verdad es que tienes toda la razón, yo creo que con la frustración que tenía de no haber podido volar el drone se me pasó completamente jajajjaa, efectivamente hay que ir en coche pero se llega enseguida. La verdad es que la caminata es increíble. Un abrazo y gracias por ver el vídeo y comentar 😉
Tú sigue con lo de vosotros... A ver, para nota, diferencia entre rambla e isla baja...
