I take two packs of 500g Golden Virginia back to the UK for a friend, used to get it in the Los Chris, but just buy in TFS airport now, never once stopped by Customs at Heathrow or Gatwick..

Hi mate, we got stopped when we were at the East Midland customs, we were on the last plane and the very last to go through customs in the early hours of the morning and there was 5 customs officers all talking and they then escorted us to the search area and we had to open out luggage. Unlucky all we had was used clothing! Thanks, Tez.

If you buy them in the spanish style shops do they still come under the same restrictions as duty free even if you keep the receipt. So can you take back an amount within reasonable limit but outside the legal limit?

@@tenerifetez2104Iv just come back from Cyprus. I was told by duty free there that it was 1x500g tobacco at €40 BUT if you buy it from the shops in the street at €55 then you can take 4x500g with the receipt as you have paid Cyprus customs charge. Not sure how true that is tho ??

To fast to see enough of prices.. a hint. Stay more than 1 second on a pricetag.

It is difficult to film in duty free and is really not allowed, security stop you from filming if you hang around for a long time. Thanks, Tez.
