Everything you explained in-general was more precise than your old videos, but in particular, what you mentioned about the Post and Drive tendencies REALLY helped me understand more in those areas. Thank you and can't wait till the next one man🤜🏽

    I made so my team run a 5 out, so when i iso who ever i pass to shoot automaticly. All you have to do is put 3pt only on positions 2 thru 5 then put your sg & sf on the wings thne put your pf & c on the corner Put everything on 0 except where you want them to shoot from If you want them to shoot in somebody face just up the contested slider in the tendences Example, only put you center to spot up in left corner and shoot from that spot only.

    Da GOAT! I've left Mycareer and been having fun in Myera with player lock. Your 2k22 vid is what helped me get a baseline of how tendencies worked. How do I get my players to take advantage of early offense? I play as the pg. So when we inbound and I see my player has a opening the can cut or make a move, I pass it. But they'll sometimes just hold the ball and wait for me to get to the spot that starts the play. I think I have play discipline to high. Cuz I'll see a match-up I know they can take advantage of. But, they'll just pass it back to me. Even though I've given everyone a decent iso rating

  • @Oklesrace

    @Oklesrace

    Жыл бұрын

    That's just 2k's coding needing work done. That's been in the game since atleast 2k12 or so. To test what I mean, just stand in the back court instead of guarding the opposing pg and when he brings it up, he'll either start the play, or atleast stand there for a while before he realizes he straight up not being guarded. It's the same coding that Chris Smoove abuses to get so many steals. If you basically press the PG on the inbound, they'll inbound to the off guard and once they're up the floor, they do absolutely nothing except try to get it back to the PG to start the play since before they even inbounded, the cpu already decided what play they'd run and that that player needs the ball for the play to start. So you can just kinda camp the PG and steal the pass that goes back to him. So as for your question, there's really nothing that can be done. I'd suggest pointing to the player and holding Y or Triangle to make him cut. You can go into the controller settings and set that button to do that if it isnt already set like that for you

    Bro, i need your help Is tendencies Driving Spin is broken? I put 100 on a player and then I watch it on cpu vs cpu so I notice that when they do iso or face up they spin Infront of the defender like they do spin instead of size up, hesitation or triple treat so what should I do? Remove the 0 the Driving Spin? I will wait to your reply brother, I want the other Driving Spin animation in other situations but I think because of that random Driving Spin, I think I want to 0 the Driving Spin, but I will wait for your response before making decisions. From my experience, no. They seem to always stay the same despite attributes changing. Hi race, i dont know if you're gonna see this, but is there a way where your player is the main one with the ball or is always ran a play for him? Most times the cpu always have it and scores. Or would i have to turn off play initiator for the other players on the team?

  • @Oklesrace

    @Oklesrace

    Жыл бұрын

    You shouldn't have to turn off play initiator for everyone else, but if there's a guard who has play initiator, then he's going to bring it up more often than a forward or center who has it. But they're just getting it past half court and starting the play, they shouldn't be scoring any more than you because of it. I'd check your shots and touches tendencies, along with your teammates, and think about changing your coach settings to play through star if you're the highest overall. To be fair tho, even then, you're not going to have every single play ran for you alone. If you only had 5 plays ran for you a quarter and you hit 3 3s out of those 5 every quarter, you'd drop 36. So I wouldn't worry about not getting it every single time. Plus you could always just call the play yourself and ignore coach

    @Race for iso vs avg, poor defenders etc is that only for getting past a defender on the perimeter or does it apply to post ups? For example lets say a point guard has 99 on ball defense but he gets caught in a mismatch guarding a Center. Does the Center now recognize him as a poor defender because of height and weight and back him down if the iso vs poor defender tendency is high?

  • @Oklesrace

    @Oklesrace

    Жыл бұрын

    Yea, that's how it works. Especially with post scorers, they should be trying to get the ball in a mismatch regardless. But I think that only really works WITH post scorers. If you had some type of Kristaps big that didn't have a post game and got switched onto a guard, I don't think he'd be trying to get on the block asking for it.

    @@Oklesrace there's two more tendencies I've been a little confused about. One is shot under basket and the other is post fadeaways. They both sound like their not confusing but here's the thing. On a default roster I noticed that most Centers and PF have a high shot under basket rating. The confusion is does that tendency cause a player to work to get under the basket for a shot or just do standing layup if they happen to be there? For example a player can be out on the perimeter and do a baseline cut towards under the basket and expect a pass in that area usually with their body shielding off the defender. The CPU does that to me a lot. Then there's the option that a player usually smaller can drive to the basket and stop under, pump fake and try a standing layup. Ja Morant has a very high shot under basket tendency compared to most point guards in 2k and I wonder if it's for him to stop under the basket because we all know that he doesn't post up and try to shoot from there like a big man would. For fadeaways we all know what a post fade away is by bigger players but the point guards have 0 post up but 15-40+ fadeaway. If I give a player 0 post up but a kinda high fadeaway is that for guys like Chris Paul who drive to the paint then shoot a shot while drifting away or fading away from about 12 feet?

    I'm not sure what you mean by rejecting the screen. I'd have to know the situation to tell which tendencies are making that happen, but the most common cause is their play discipline tendency being too low. It can cause them to break out of simple screen plays just to do their own thing.

    @@Oklesrace interesting... but regarding touches - if you set touches to 0 for a certain player, but you set RUN PLAYS slider to 100...he will still be touching the ball pretty often, right? So what does touches tendency actually influence in set plays situations (most cases)?

    @@Oklesrace also, I am busting my ass of to make CPU player more of a drive and kick game. But some players are just damn stubborn. Like for instance Shroeder. Man he just drives relentlesly and wont pass out and takes stupid layups even with FINISH tend set low (like at 30s) and DISH tendency set high (90+). Does Shot IQ have anything to do with that? I set close, under, mid tendencies very very low, and still the bastard wont pass the ball out, he just look at the basket. Maybe his high SHOOTING tendency is making him do that?

    @@Lukqdos I think I actually got an answer for you as I just did sone test my self cause I was having the same issue with Jalen Brunson. I made a 99 over player at SF on the Knicks. I had the set plays thing at 95 and with that even tho JB only has a 75 touches he was coming down the court and practically only starting plays for himself. Man had 10 shots in the first quarter all the time because his drive is at a 99 and because he has Pick and roll ball handler as his first vital. I decided to test your theory and it’s actually game changing. Here’s what I found out. If you give a player 99 touches and you set the “set plays to 50” right in the middle more often than not your best player will run the offense that includes them bringing the ball up the floor. Essentially touches influences who brings the ball up the floor if the set plays is low regardless of who can call plays. But it also influences who the plays are called for. For example any time JB got a rebound or if the ball was passed to him instead of driving or bringing the ball up the floor he would immediately pass it to the player with the highest touches rating because with set plays being low and his touches being low he has no reason to have the ball. The best way to test this is to go to the lakers and watch them play a game. You’ll most likely see that Lebron and Ad don’t get the ball much at all usually is D-lo or the 2 guard. Change the set plays give Lebron 99 touches if he doesn’t already as well as 99 shot tendency and lower anybody else’s touches that you don’t want with the ball to 65 you’ll notice he brings it up almost every time and if he doesn’t who ever gets passed the ball will immediately pass it to him.

    @@Lukqdos it essentially influences who has the ball and who shoots the ball depending on the player tendencies and set plays slider.

    16:34 to 17:17 is literally me explaining spot up drive. I had just accidentally referred to it as off screen drive, which if you actually watched the video. I admit right after that, that I didn't talk about off screen drive and had to post record
