Stage 6 when you beat Goo, you fight him for abit then he runs away when you half his lifebar, stage 9 at the top of Lord Gohda’s castle you kill him but he then disappears by a flash bang, and then stage 10 just before you reach the depths of Lord Mei-Oh’s lair.

That is a truly impressive feat, for both of them. These days you see a lot more hand done (if heavily computer aided of course) animation. But motion capture just brings a life and fidelity it can't match.

At 1:39 the theme REALLY picks up. You expect a standard look (as most games use that) but no, it just GOES ON AND BECOMES SO MUCH MORE AMAZING WITH EVERY SECOND!

I simply love this theme! It's true this boss could have been annoying sometimes, but it's without doubt the best Tenchu Villain EVER and a very nice character.

I had an epic battle with a college friend of mine with this cheat, where I played Onikage and he was Rikimaru. We fought so much that we became near-perfectly synced, our characters ducking and hopping over each others' attacks naturally during their combos and attacks. We even ended up clashing leg and blade repeatedly. What annoyed him, though, was how good I was at using a healing potion when he tried to quickly switch to it and heal. See, the second player has an infinite supply of whatever item the first player currently has selected. The only exception is the grappling hook, which only Player One could use. Sadly, that was the last time I played that copy of the first Tenchu...

I liked how Onikage beat the living sh1t outta ninja, kunoichis etc. with his bare (but protected) hands/legs. He was a true Oni Kage ;)

I'm at 40 health, and I think "alright, I'll heal after his next attack" Then suddenly DROP KICK!!! Followed by poetic gameover screen If there was ever a way to find out how powerful that move was, that's one hell of a way!

I remember having Gameshark cheats for infinite health and even still there was so much blood splattered all over the walls coming from my Rikimaru. Onikage had me in a corner, and even then his attacks were relentless, not even one second of rest did he give me.

No lie 10 year old me playing the Tenchu 2 demo "Oh so I guess this guy is like the Tenchu 2 version of Onikage". Oh if only I knew how right I was lol that reveal blew my frickin mind!

One of my favourite quotes "you cannot beat me when I try", loved that and the onikage fights, shame you could never play as him, now that would have been awesome.

Noriyuki Asakura is a freaking master artist. I have the entire soundtrack from all Tenchu and Way of the Samurai games in FLAC (all done by him). If you guys know any other soundtrack by him similar to those games let me know. I can't find any music genre similar to his music. To me it's totally one of a kind

This theme is fucking incredible. I always had these long drawn out fights with onikage. Then when I figured out that debug code I would fight multiple.onikages all at once hahaa

Most aggravating fucking boss in the entire series, but we all love him, somehow.

Who else remembers hearing the slower and more sinister version of this at the end of Tenchu 2 when it was revealed one of the villains was secretly Onikage all along? Forgot the name he went by in Tenchu 2, but he was the dude with the blindfold.

I remember i was trying to gameshark Onikage as a playable character back then. His fighting moves is awesome and deals a lot of damage.

Imagine being stuck solitary confinement with this on repeat lol

This dude always gave me and my older brother HELL when we played this game. We thought On was hard but when we had to fight Onikage in the Cult mission, we rage quit. We always knew he was gonna be hard but him to heal up AFTER knocking him down some life, fuck it was not fair. This theme fit him perfect, the orchestra the vocals and the tone was fitting for Onikage.

i'm 100% sure that tenchu was the game that truly inspired dark souls creator, the way this game used to work, like when you're healing yourself and some boss beat the crap out of you before you regen, good times

He is Suzaku in Tenchu 2: Birth of Stealth Assasins. How could that be? He changed his identity after the Burning Dawn was defeated and he's the only one who survived??
