I would be more excited to see a consolidated haste materia to have more accessibility with fine-tuning sks/sps for the jobs that need the adjustments, but I'll take a better tenacity. The small victories

They might be able to bring Tenacity up to match Det, because it's exclusive to tanks. But I doubt they would.

I hope Tenacity gets lots of love. It doesnt need to be better, but it would be nice if it was competitive. I would love to see a 'more tanky' tank that full of tenacity with sprinkles of crit, instead of it being just a DPS meld as a tank.

I remember a super cursed image someone shared early on in BA when people were just starting to optimize it where they popped Inner Release and dodged it because of buff cap.

Having Max tenacity already allows you to survive the first blast of Ancient flare while everyone else dies, it has also saved me from an Thavnair A-rank DEVOUR mechanic that a certain frog does to you with its Mini Light ability, you basically die 100% of the time if you dont have max tenacity

If white mages could read im sure they would be very upset.

Man, i hope Tenacity gets a monster buff. It would be nice to not Meld a Tank like you'd meld a DPS, and at least have the OPTION to 'be more tanky" by a competitive margin as compared to Crit and Direct hit. Also, good on you for Viper cosplay.

Tenacity buffs is just a nice cherry on top. Some setups you can't really get away from it, so it's just a nice "here's some better stats"

If Tenacity is not alot weaker than Det it might be useful and Crit/Ten gear, while not being optimal, may not feel as bad as it did previously

Pretty sure they buffed tenacity because they buffed determination in 6.0 and it fell haaaard. (and it was already kinda shitty in the first place, lol) Back in ShB you would occasionally see tenacity melds on week 1 ultimates sets but since EW, determination replaced it because it was just so much better in value.

Finally my Tenacity build on all my jobs will be meta.

I might be wrong, tenacity is a stat so the code I assume would be tied to the base version of the game ARR. Think of it like the foundation. 5.x and 6.x are used in these patch notes when new content is being added, changed or affected within the code of those expansions.

If you see any stat or fundamental change implemented in 2.X, it means it will impact all future expansions. They'll only put the patch tags if it's progressively changed across the expansions

Tenacity won't ever be good because the game assumes a 0 ten tank will survive anything.

Can somebody have a discussion with YoshiP so we get actual stat effects in game? Like crit % and crit damage based on our crit stat etc

Honestly wish they'd just get rid of Tenacity.

Tenacity will always be a bad stat unless its in dps parity, in wich it would be overpowered. There is simply no reason to ever need increased mitigation as a tank and it has pretty much always been this way. Once you can sufficiently survive your job as a tank is done, and the rest is dps.

The problem is not the combat but the gcd, at 2 sec it would be another story, a better feeling anyway you aren’t completely wrong about the lack of rpg, dots have been half destroyed, the build concept doesn’t exist, elemental damage doesn’t exist…
