I’m so happy that Chris got the opportunity to make an animation for Tenacious D and put his Blender animation skills to the test. Chris always talks about Jack Black and Kyle Gass in an endearing way on his channel so I know how much this means to him and his fans. If I were Chris I wouldn’t have been able to keep this animation project a secret up until now.

It COMPLETELY BAFFLES ME how good the entire newgrounds OG’s are at keeping things under wraps for so damn long… sometimes even when shit comes out they’re so humble about it or distracted that they forget to mention it. …maybe it’s cause of all the attempts that never quite landed and they’ve learned to not count their chickens before they hatch… man, now I’ve made myself sad again about hellbenders…. Make myself happy again and hope Chris gets both of tenacious-D on some episodes in the future and they collaborate on many more projects into the future!

When did he mention he was a big fan of tenacious-D? Im not doubting, because I’m genuinely curious and want to see that again. Im pretty sure I remember seeing a couple videos where they said that, but it’s nice to go back and watch again!

Oney has a really strong old fanbase, it's interesting. Most people who watch have been watching since NG. Oneyplays is one of the few pieces of frequent content that consistently makes me cry laughing.

This animation is just... Sublime. I watched it like five times, admiring the character's movements and their expressions, the fluidity of the animations, the incredible consistency in the characters 'personality' even across different animation styles - its just incredible.

As a game developer, I revel in Jack's newfound appreciacion for videogames. As he said, they're not like the old arcade videogames anymore, they're art, immersion, storytelling. You can appreciate so much more than you could before.
