***** Seriously? I would argue that the rate of new music development and progress has outstripped our imagination. There is heaps of new music to do. From electroacoustic space mass performances to massive-pendulum earth strings, there is no shortage of 'new' out there. Whether it's commercially viable however is another thing...

Matt you know whats not new? The music industry pushing bland lame versions of bands. These guys are privileged enough to havema great contact nothing more. I thought we were beyond having industry people telling us what to like. There has been a psych underground going on for years. These wankers are just showing up to exploit it now. So sad really. Embarresed to know these guys.

I think that's not exactly like this. They reuse old fashions, but in a way that fits better nowadays. If you really listen with attention to the 60's psychedelics you'll notice they sound a bit different.

Not surprising when the alternative is Shit Hop or the garbage that passes for Pop music.
so psychedelic, getting amazing 60's vibes
That chorus... I could listen to it looping forever.
Great song. Sounds like something from the late 1960's
I just saw these guys on "Jimmy Fallon" and I was mesmerized for 3 minutes. I think I just found a new band to obsess over. Really great song.

franzchick66 This band is much better than a lot of the music being produced these days.
I'm an old geezer born in the 50's and there isn't much in the way of new music that appeals. I know that this isn't 'new' but the band is to me. Caught them playing out the credits of the film The Gift with the track Keep In The Dark and I was immediately hooked. Straight away I bought the album Sun Structures and I am not disappointed.
I wonder how many baby boomers hear this on the radio and one starts saying "Hey! Do you remember that one?" And then they try to figure out what band from their childhood sang it until they drive themselves crazy?

Keep wondering if it makes you happy. Besides, most Baby Boomers were already into their late teens, getting jobs, going to college, getting married, going off to Vietnam (or to Canada, as it were) when the Psychedelic era started (circa 1965). I was 17. Meaning, most of the BB's weren't children listening to this kind of music. They were already young adults. I doubt any of them would be driven crazy by a tune reminescent of days gone by. They'd most likely just say, "at least some of the kids today get it!'

LOL!! I know what you mean!! The first time I heard this, I said to myself, "this sounds '60's big time!! That guitar riff is something right out of a Byrds song. By the way, this song sounds GREAT. Can anybody pin that guitar riff on a 60's song? (something with a similar type of riff)
@Reefizer

metaspherz not true most Young Adults during the 60's were into this music, the biggest age group to sell music to besides children/teenagers are young adult college age students, especially during the 60's music wave. LSD did come out then and if I remember seeing Woodstock correctly I would say that most of the people there were the exact age group you just mentioned Edit//// When I say this music, I mean the style/genre. It is weird I would have to specify that in the 21st century but these guys jam
I absolutely love this track. Great sounds.

The Shelter Song could easily be a lost tape from 1971 with its chiming 12-string guitar line and fuzzed out vocals, but when it kicks in with the chorus it’s like the onset of a dream. It’s a particularly pertinent reminder that retro doesn’t have to mean looking backwards.

This music has a 60s sound. It's wonderful!
Since no genre or Rock is created, old sounds are back! Great song!
First saw them on Jimmy Fallon and loved this song immediately. Takes me back to the good music in 1967 or so during the psychedelic era . To the good music then, not the drugs, which I stayed away from . Good to see music like this making a comeback .
Everything new is "old" again. I love this! Leave it to the Brits where innovation begins but never ends! 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚

This ending to this song is one of the greatest things to happen in modern rock music. I just want to be in a field dancing in the breeze.
These guys got just the right kind of music videos I've been looking for
Love this band! The soul of the 60s, their personal sound, and modern psychedelia, can't wait for the next release!

hey guys there are 7 billion people on the planet, soooo many bands sound similar. tame impala aren't the only band making psych rock/pop today, the beatles weren't the only ones doing this shit in the 60s either. once you know enough music, everything sounds like everything else, but that doesn't diminish its merit. it just means a lot of fucking people make music. really nice song.

The Beatles were amazing, no one can deny that. Being such a revolutionary band they inspired generations of artists - it's natural that we hear a little bit of the Beatles in music today. In fact I think it's great that The Beatles live on through the impact they've had on so many artists.

People, If you like Temples Shelter Song I strongly suggest you give a listen to Donovan - Sunshine Superman, and also by Donovan- Hurdy Gurdy Man !! Donovan came out of the late 1960’s during the height of the first wave of the psychedelic music sound . Plus as a bonus you get to here a guitarist by the name of Jimi Page. Jimi Page was a studio musician before he formed Led Zeppelin ! PEACE TO ALL🎸✨

[Verse 1] One night You came on over to me Late night We shared a drink or three Night night I read a proverb to you That night She left a room with a view [Chorus 1] Take all the time Time that you want to Make up your mind Mind how you go Take me in time Time to the music Take me away to the twilight zone [Verse 2] Last night We stayed up late in a dream My oh my We read a play with no theme Lifetime In which our love pursues My time In which I spend with you [Chorus 2] Now I know the lonely days are gone Don't you know that I can see Like a summer day that's always long We repel the wet of tears As the shadows lighten up the day Through the cons we laugh away Like a windy day that's always wrong We take shelter where we can [Bridge] Last night I came on over to you My oh my We played a song or two Lifetime I read a poem aloud My time I wrote a song for thee [Chorus 2] Now I know the lonely days are gone Don't you know that I can see Like a summer day that's always long We repel the wet of tears As the shadows lighten up the day Through the cons we laugh away Like a windy day that's always wrong We take shelter where we can
