They are not. They are known as palimpsests. They are one set of hieroglyphs carved over another set. Seti carved the first set then his son, Ramses II, filled them in with plaster and carved in another set. Over time, the plaster came loose and you had two sets of hieroglyphs carved in the same place.

May be aircraft that disappeared in the bermuda triangle?

I wonder if they had them lit up with fires so that you could view the writing or if it was intended for someone to take a torch through there to discover where the writings are? We look at it now, but I wonder what the intended viewing experience was supposed to be of these? It's almost like we could be viewing it the wrong aspect ratio.

Some religious fundamentalists say that it is forbidden to show faces on holy people, angels etc, so they scrape them of. That's what happened to christian art in turkey in ancient times, in the christian temples of Kapadokya.

is it me or is there a helmet there too? Pause at 1:03 in the bottom left corner there is a helmet, which would make sense for the various crafts, riding protection or possibly air supply. Back up a few more seconds and to the left of the vehicles there is an insect with wings in flight, and a birds eye view of a fish in the water. What if theyre saying hey, they vehicles to the right allowed beings to fly and travel via water like these things we already know, insect and fish. I'm no archaeologist so who knows but that seems pretty obvious lol, I always felt like hieroglyphs were designed the way they are so future generations could interpret them and understand

Its the names of sethi i and ramsses 11 joined together. Ramsses wrote his name over his dad's (sethi)

Ramsses 11 overwrote the kartouche of seti 1 at Karnack in the hypostyle hall, this temple is about 100 miles north of Karnack. Had he done so here in all likeliness he would have added his name at the end of the kings list which finishes with seti 1 and we would have seen his kartouche throughout.

Interesting things and vehicles looks like planes. Maybe they came from Sirius star system Orion, even pyramids are built straight towards Orion star systems. Ancient Egyptians did have good looking body sexy.

Hello Mimi Damage in the tombs and temples were caused in several different manners, later phaerohs could overwrite names so that the work was credited to themselves (Ramses II overwritting Seti I caused the helicopter design as some of the old heiroglyphs showed through), phaerohs trying to obliterate others from history (removal of anything to do with Akhenaten as he was considered a heretic), other religions removing pagan images (Temple of Hathor damage to Hathor images by early christians), removal of reliefs to sell to art collectors especially easily recognised parts such as hands and faces to sell to europe primarily several hundred years ago at a time when these buildings had no value to egypt, thankfully this has changed. kind regards Richard

Why not show the actual photo of the so called helicopter, plane and whatever? This photo is so heavily doctored that it's almost funny except the fact people believe they are what they see. They aren't.

Hi This photo is not doctored, what we are seeing is in fact one set of hieroglyphs over another which combine to make what we interpret as a helicopter. This is located high up on a rafter in the ceiling and presumably someone could not be bothered to ensure it was scrapped clean when the stone was reused. In this case the cartouche of Seti i was overlaid with the cartouche of Ramses II. It is also possible that the natural wearing of 3,300 years has made the underlying engraving show through Kind regards Richard

@@richardarkley3863 Before Ramses carved his cartouche over Seti's inscription, he put on a heavy layer of plaster. Over time, the plaster fell off.

time 1:01 located on the lintel in the hypostyle hall, it consists of a carving made in the time of Seti I which was then overplastered and carved in the time of ramses II, as some of the plaster has fallen away and deteriated over the millenia the 2 carvings have merged into one showing what in our eyes are submarine, plane, tank kind regards Richard
