Templars Artanis, Karax, Fenix, Alarak and Vorazun Destroy Psionic Matrix on Aiur (Starcraft 2)

"Templar's Return". With Moebius Corps destroyed, and the Tal'darim and Purifiers under the command of the Daelaam, Hierarch Artanis assembled his advisors in the War Council for the final assault on Aiur. He revealed to them that Amon was forming a host body from the protoss he had corrupted, and intended to exist both within it and the Khala. He would use the Golden Armada to defend himself while he developed his body, which could warp in as long as the psionic matrix was active. In order to delay them, they would have to destroy the khaydarin crystals powering it. This would give them the time they needed to destroy Amon's host body, and then use the Keystone to purge him from the Khala long enough for the corrupted to sever their nerve cords. With nothing to inhabit, Amon would be forced back into the Void.
Three khaydarian crystals powered the psionic matrix, and each had to be destroyed before Amon could recall the Golden Armada. The first was located in the Citadel of the Executor in Antioch, to which Matriarch Vorazun and Highlord Alarak were dispatched. The area was infested with Amon's zerg, and the two of them fought through heavy zerg defenses. The last door before the khaydarian crystal was sealed, so Alarak charged a large psionic blast, destroying both the door and the crystal.
In the ancient temple grounds, Phase-smith Karax and Fenix moved in to secure the next crystal. However a large force of hybrid and corrupted Khalai converged to defend the site after the destruction of the first crystal. Karax used his abilities to take control of the robotic sentries, immortals, colossi, and reavers in the area as well as the production structures, amassing a force large enough to engage the hybrid. The force was enough to break through and destroy the crystal.
The last crystal was located in the xel'naga caverns, which Artanis and his forces were tasked to destroy. However the destruction of the other two crystals caused the caverns to flood with psionic energy. Each faction leader sent forces to support Artanis, Alarak with his vanguards, Fenix with his colossi, and Vorazun with her dark templar. The combined force destroyed the zerg in the cavern and pushed to the crystal in time, and the protoss in the caverns warped back to safety.
With the destruction of the psionic network, the Daelaam now had the necessary time to destroy Amon's host body...

I was not aware of how many big actors lent their voice to this game, ie Michael Dorn - Lt. Worf, John De Lancie - Q., Rick D. Wasserman, Marc Graue just to name a few. These are all A listers, wow!

Karax in this mission was a walking pylon with OPERATION CWAL incorporated.

This mission broke my heart...the systematic destruction of everything that made the Protoss the Protoss. :( The Choir Mind of the Khala is such a beautiful balance between the hive mind of the Swarm and the lonely individuality of Humanity, to have it end is such a tragedy, not sure why the developers thought this was some kind of victory. Sure, the Protoss survived, but everything that made them powerful and the pinnacle of Creation is lost. Hollow. We can only hope that with new generations of Protoss born with their nerve cords intact a new Khala will form...and maybe even a Preserver survived to save the minds of the Protoss that came before the End War.

Lord Telperion As much as the Khala is a legacy of the Protoss, it's a fatal flaw too - the hijacking of their minds by Amon is a clear sign. With the severing of the chords, the Khala now becomes history much like the Aeon of Strife. Remember that the Aeon is a part of their history the Protoss aren't proud of.

Just shows that they could not win without great sacrifice. That is how life and warfare works. Because of this, the Protoss survived with an opportunity to rebuild allied under Artanis.

Despite what the Khala has been used for during thr End War, I hope that at least the Protoss still cherish it to some degree as it was what ended the brutal Aeon of Strife. Similarly I hope the eventual purpose of the Khala does not tarnish the name of Khas. Even if he is no longer respected for inducing the Khala, he should still be respected for ending the brutal civil war, and during that time the Khala wasn't the hijacking device... yet

The Khala has served its purpose, remember the protoss disabow anyone who is not part of it like how they treat the Dark Templars

@@NinjaAO42 He also created the Caste system during the infancy of the Khala which was a mistake imo. The Judicators became too drunk on power and became huge dicks (Exhibit A: Aldaris, Exhibit B: Rohana towards Karax and Terrans). The only real useful ones in that system were the Khalai and the Templars while the Judicators sat around like politicians ordering everyone around. So Khas' legacy has always been tarnished to me mate, because he didn't really stop the Protoss on Protoss bloodshed which people praise him for, he just made it less random (since Protoss still killed each other even after the creation of the Khala, Templars hunting down the Nerazim, Tal'darim killing both factions when they can, etc etc).

Trait: Psi Matrix (passive): Gives units inside his psi matrix bonuses (damage/shield/attack speed). Spells: Deploy Photon Cannon (Khadarian Monolith at lvl 20?) Deploy Energizer (Talents could give spells from Sentry variants) Psi Surge: Gives units inside Psi Matrix bonuses for X seconds (Burst while trait is consistent boost) (Alternative) Shock cannon (whatever that attack he used to destroy the objective): Slow and nuke Heroics: Solar Bombardment Mass Reinforcement: Calls Colossi, Reavers and Immortals (Maybe OP) Reconstruct Fort: Long channel, heal/revive forts

@@Moa_Smug Pretty much all the forces of the regular prottoss, is said on the campaign that the Golden Armada hammered the Dominion fleet whenever they met, and Kerrigan had a few missions just to avoid facing it, sound pretty fucking strong if you ask me

Well, as Artanis said when he promoted Karax, '...we must ALL become Templar!', so I'd say it counts. Even if neither Alarak nor Vorazun consider themselves as such.

Tha khala corroption by Amon is not comparable to zerg infestation in a human body at a celular lvl The zerg cells mutates way too fast for antivirals. As stetman says it in WoL zerg cells don't die of old age and are constantly mutating and will adapt to almost anything. Remember abathur experimenting with rouches to force a symbiotic relation with the toxins on the pool Or when made ultralisk basically immortal cuz of a nuclear Bomb. Or forcing ultralisk to produce toxic clouds from a biologicao weapon Mensk made? Zerg potential for mutation and adaptation makes it impossible to cure if it infest a host.

But if you sided with her she thanks you non infested and everything seems to be fine. Like, there are no infested people on Safe Haven. Im not talking about reversing infestation, but like... halting zerg virus incubation.

I read on some vids, people are like asking, are you playing on easy ? Fuck it, im master division in online ranked EU, master in US ( playin with lags in us ), and ive never done campaign in any rts without codes/cheats or w/e theire called, because campaign is for story only, not for learning the game. PvE is easy in every game, even wow, where ive done every raid on mythic.

Errr no, and you lose. He’s not like Hitler. For one thing, he’s not an incomeptent buffoon. He proposes killing the Protoss on Aiur in order to defeat Amon with as little risk as possible. I remind you that Amon is basically a god. Furthermore, he’s not racist. He respects anyone who demonstrates strength of will. By the end of all this, he has come to respect Artanis as an equal.
