Loved this one. We did this almost exact same trek during late September 2020 and loved it! We stayed on that same Wolf Lake site one night, and loved Dudeny immeasurably...that island site at the top of Dudeny will be one of our next campsites for sure. It's about a 4.5hr drive for us to the put-in, which is farther than we typically travel for trips, but this area of Temagami is so worth it. Your cinematography is fantastic and we love the way you capture the little things along the way. Glad to see the pup is still rocking the portages, even without packing him like a mule :) Keep up the great work!

Glad that you enjoyed! So interesting that we both stayed on the same site on Wolf. And yes... Dudeny deserved a longer look for sure. Being further north than me, you are fortunate to not have to drive so long to find spectacular paddling waters... but for us Toronto folk... everything is a long drive. Fortunately, it is always worth it! Thanks for watching and for your kind words. :)

I'm really enjoying this video. I hadn't realized that you had traveled up this far before, Trevor. I paddled Wolf Lake and beyond several years ago but didn't get as far north as you did. It's beautiful up there. I think this is the first time I've seen Mason, a wonderful dog. You made some smart decisions while you were out there, I often wonder what I would do if Mickey broke a leg while climbing on rocks and such. Loved watching that bright green caterpillar! Your stellar photography was, well... stellar. You've inspired me to revisit Matagamasi this summer. 😎 Awesome video. 👍👍

Thanks for the kind words Daryl! It really is so lovely up there. I will be returning to Temagami this summer for sure to explore new areas that I have yet to visit. Great to hear that you have been inspired to revisit the area as well. I will keep an eye out for your video of that adventure! Cheers, T.

Was that a bit of Northern Lights I saw at around 47:50 - 48:10, or just some ambient light?

Good eye! Yes, it was. The time lapse itself is actually a series of long exposure photographs. If I recall correctly... each of the 800+ photos were shot at a twenty second exposure. This long exposure allows the northern lights to appear on 'film' despite not being able to see them with the naked eye. I had no idea that I had captured them until I assembled the time lapse. Thank you for watching and commenting.

Stunning. Your best one yet, my brother. And can I assume that no tripods were injured (or left behind) in the making of this adventure?!
