I am so Happy for ya'll! My husband and I had 6 grown children. And we adopted our grandson. We first got him 10 years ago. He is 15 now. And through my illness he has helped me grow in my faith as much as I have him. We didn't know how things would go for either one of our health issues. But God got us through joyfully. God bless ya'll 🙏🏻✝️

I'm so happy for you guys. I cried when Mary said "God is making me a mommy". That is so true. This process and decision is a true miracle from God; He is blessing your family and our hearts. Congratulations again.

Congratulations again you guys! As a chronic illness Mama who was told I would never be a mom, and am now a mom of twin boys…I will tell you it’s not easy. But nothing that is easy is ever worth it. It is beyond worth the tired days and long nights. No greater joy. Can’t wait to see you guys flourish as parents. 💛

I am a birth parent(genetic parent) myself and I encourage you to really look into open or semi open, not for the genetic parents’ sake but for your child. It’s much easier on them so they don’t have to go through the “finding my parents” thing. It’s worked well for the parents and family of the son I placed.

As an adoptee, it makes me so emotional watching your video and imagining my parents going through the whole process so many years ago. I’m so excited for you!

When we built David’s (my son) crib for the first time, we made it up with bedding, turned around, turned back and Major, our German Shepherd at the time, had jumped in! The joys of expectant parenthood, whether natural or via adoption! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

We had a huge apricot standard poodle when we had our babies and he was the best big brother. We joke that our daughter’s first language was dog.💕🐾

i've been fighting depression so, so hard and this is the first time in a long time that i've cried tears of joy. thank you. i can't wait to follow along, your strength amazes me and i identify as an atheist but i listened to your whole podcast video about the process of adoption and i have to say a wave of peace washed over me. i don't know what that means, but thank you for the peace i've felt today and the joy i've felt for you, for the first time in a long time. all my love.

Congratulations, you two! I almost started bawling when I saw the first video title making the announcement. And I really cried when I saw your long video where you talked about the journey of getting to the point where you made the decision to adopt. I love you guys, and I couldn’t be happier for you! God is giving you the desire of your hearts. I’m really going to enjoy the next several vlogs hearing Mary’s squeals of pure delight!

Watching this brings back so many memories. I remember how daunting and exciting the process was. We had four months to get all of our stuff together and it seemed to fly by.

Ollie and Harry are going to be the most adorable big brothers! I just have a feeling we're going to see so many videos and pictures of them all snuggled up with "their" baby. I am SO excited for ALL of you!

All the emotions and all the tears. It is all worth it and our son is a miracle in our lives. He has added so much to our lives. The wonderful family and church family is invaluable. I just wanted to take the time to say thankyou, im saying thankyou because a couple of years ago i went through some stuff that made me the coldest/meanest most negative version of myself- I was always angry and could never see the good in anything and i refused help. I started watching you guys somewhere and 2016 and honestly i thought “How can these people love life and continue to stay so strong through this illness.” and im gonna admit that it annoyed me a little. but NOW in 2021 I’m back and ive been binging every single video, I cannot even begin to express the positive vibes that radiate from you two. I am SOSOSO thankful for your inspiration and motivation to always remain positive and see the good in things.

My parents did foster care. You need baby gates at the stairs top and bottom. You will also need child safety locks on all the cabinets. And a key lock on Mary's med supply closet. Best child locks for cabinets are the magnet key locks.

The most special thing about you two is your honesty, never showing off or trying to wow us with some trip or purchase or beauty tip. My only experience with my adoption is my psychologist who adopted 2 children. It seemed to me to definitely be a venture largely for the very wealthy who could afford what is needed to accomplish it . So when you mentioned there was a group to help with that for more regular folks I rejoyced.

I’ve been watching you guys on and off for probably about 3 years, starting when Mary’s health was starting to decline and I was actually really worrisome for her in my own life, and I remember you guys saying that a child wasn’t ever going to be an option with Mary’s health, and let me tell you when I was SHOCKED when I saw this huge announcement! I’m so happy for you both and the part where someone’s child said “Peter is going to be a dad!” It just warmed my heart so much and I’m balling over here in Ohio! Do what you think you can’t do, right?! So so happy for you and your future child. I’ll be watching!

I always find it odd the process that people have to go through to adopt a child, but if you get pregnant, you're good to go. No home study, no interviews to make sure you're able to care for a child, etc. This statement is by no means anything negative about the 2 of you, obviously, you will pass with flying colors. That is going to be one very lucky little boy or girl.

As a spoonie and mom of 3, (and now new Grammy of 2!), I can tell you this will be the BEST times of your lives! It's not easy, but it's SO worth it!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
