One of my favourite theme songs of World Youth Day. That song was performed when Saint Pope John Paul II visited Manila, Philippines for the 10th World Youth Day in 1995 and when Pope Francis visited Manila, Philippines for his apostolic papal visit in 2015.

This makes me cry now. This was our graduation song. My mama bought me a cassette tape of this at St. Pauls. I miss my mama so much.

Ooohh, I thought the second verse was in the original version, the one with "Emmanuel prince of peace" That's why on Pope Francis' visit back in 2015 I never heard the second verse. I heard the Papal visit 2015 theme song (maybe) written and sung by Ms. Jamie Rivera (not hating)... but this song is much better and has a deeper place in the hearts of the Filipino people. Thank you Ms. Trina Belamide for this wonderful song. Keep the catholic christian faith, God bless you! :)

Filled with awe.. I was just an inch away from St. Pope John Paul II when his vehicle passed me by while I am on my (with my delegation) way to Quirino grandstand. I really cherished each moment, everything, and this song has remained a seal on my forehead to go and tell the world of HIS Love. "Let us love one another as Jesus loved us. "

I was college and was not a delegate, nasa probinsya lang ako and the school was quiet because most students were in Manila for WYD. However, this song had made a great imoact up to this day in my spiritual life

When I was a kid, remember our school practicing this song. Never knew why, then I realized, the song is for the visiting Pope! Next thing I knew, every Filipino is singing this. Masterpiece! 👌🏻❤️
