Telford, The Wrekin & Ironbridge - Ep 11
I'm back on the bike and ready to explore in Shropshire. Using a variety of former railways and country lanes, I check out the centre of the New Town of Telford before heading out in to the beautiful Shropshire countryside. After a few challenging climbs and a trip All Around The Wrekin (literally!), I descend to the Ironbridge Gorge, the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, and popular tourist destination. But can I avoid the crowds and find somewhere to relax and eat my sausage roll in peace!?

Another great video full of enthusiasm and info on your adventure. Made me want to get a bell too 😅

Thanks for your kind comments, I’m glad my enthusiasm comes across! Maybe not so much on the uphill sections! I was against having a bell on my mountain bike for so long but I couldn’t do without it these days, so many pedestrians getting in the way! 😂
Yet another great ride glad you’re back Dave keep up the great work 👍🚴🏽

Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed!
Nice video of my local area! The cycle route down to Bridgnorth is a must follows the old railway route.

Thanks very much for watching! I really enjoyed exploring this area of Shropshire, so many cool places to check out! I’ve had my eye on the route to Bridgnorth for a while, maybe doing a loop taking in Wenlock Edge too.
Enjoyed the video Dave. Beautiful area of the country for cycling. Definitely going to visit Ironbridge. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Steve! It really is a beautiful park of the world. The Severn valley in particular looks great for cycling opportunities!

Glad you enjoyed the video! There were a couple of fun descents on this route, especially the one through Coalbrookdale! I’m sure it looks faster on the video than it actually is in real life, I can’t remember going quite that fast 😂
Hi Dave missed your videos
