@@dickswingston8854 Hi. Not sure if your comment was tongue in cheek or not, lol. This clip of the flute concerto is part of the live broadcast from a week or so ago, which included a viola concerto and symphonies by CPE Bach and Haydn. A lovely way to spend part of my afternoon.

Wunderschöne Aufführung dieses kompakten doch perfekt komponierten Konzerts mit sanftem doch gut phrasiertem Ton der genialen Soloflöte sowie gut vereinigten und perfekt entsprechenden Tönen der anderen Instrumente. Der intelligente und ebenso geniale Cembalist/Dirigent leitet das kompakte und ausgezeichnete Orchester in verschiedenen Tempi und mit künstlerisch kontrollierter Dynamik. O je Leute! Was habt Ihr denn für eine Artikulation? "Musik als Klangrede" (Harnoncourt) hat wohl niemand verinnerlicht? Bin selber Flötist und kenne die Literatur, schätze Telemann über alle anderen Komponisten damals. Aber hier schalte ich nach den ersten paar Takten ab. Bei den diesjährigen Telemann-Festspielen in Magdeburg gab es Musiker zu hören, die wirklich die Seele der barocken Musik spüren und ins Publikum bringen - und solche, die es nicht können, obwohl sie "fehlerfrei" spielen. "Normale" Sinfonieorchester können Barockmusik technisch gesehen perfekt, aber sie verstehen meist nicht, was sie spielen. Gilt genauso für die meisten Dirigenten. Zudem sind die Bögen der Streicher kaum zur richtigen Artikulation geeignet, sie liegen zu sehr auf den Saiten. Dann klingt die Musik wie ein langweilig gesprochener Text oder ein heruntergeleiertes Gedicht. Seit zwei Wochen weiß ich wirklich, was den Unterschied macht, wo meine eigene Seele tief berührt wird, was nur ganz nett ist und wo mich Grausen packt.
