The teacher has sucesssfuly made all these laws look very positive but failed to highlight the increased power given to companies (capitalism) rather than giving some more right to the users (common people). Seems like the draft of most of the points were given by JIO rather than vaishnaw sir.

All in all, the bill is favourable for the industry. Market players want to enjoy their monopoly that can't happen. Besides they all got many favourable results like reducing penalties to a mere 10% of the original. A nice bill which covers everything including customers, industries, emergency powers and media freedom.

These laws are already these as part of IT Ammendment act 2008. Jinko nahi pata unke liye big step hai. Par ye law pehle se hai. But IT Act ko bhi dilute kiye gaye hai.

there are many loophole tpo be seen in this Act, regarding the promotional messages as if a telecom company compels us by any official mean for example just like to get updates and newsletters in any other online sites we need to check that button, they can do the same thing, and as you said the promotional things are just going to prevelant. So, IMO lots of the bills that been passed recently will be a lot more loop holes than those previous bills passed before this regime.

Biometric data correlation with sim card ownership helps secure phone use to within legal means mostly .

1/ कुछ लोग फिंगरप्रिंट भी कॉपी कर लेते है, इसीलिए सिम लेते समय आयरिश डाटा भी लेना चाहिए। 2/ चूंकि फिंगरप्रिंट और अन्य बायोमेट्रिक डाटा सेंसिटिव होती हैं। कंपनी को बाध्य करना चाहिए की वो अपने यूजर की KYC डाटा और बायोमेट्रिक को बहुत सुरक्षित रखे और उस कंपनी के कर्मचारी भी एक्सेस न कर सके। ( वैसे यह डाटा प्राइवरी लॉ 2023 में कवर हो रहा )

I genuinely didn’t understand the point of auctioning of satellite spectrum. If the auctioning of satellite spectrum is not required for all the companies (I mean on the basis of allotment from now on ) then why was there exceptions to such auctioning discussed? 10:02

In old system, let's say, the base price of auctioning a spectrum is 10 Rs then the richer companies like Vi, Airtel and jio will bid higher and higher leaving no opportunities to companies which are capable of investing, let's say, 20Rs for a spectrum. This would result in not only losses for the rich companies it would also result in missed opportunities for other companies. Now that there are no auctions, companies other than Vi, Airtel and jio can also afford buying those spectrums. Auctioning will still be in practice for those companies (like start ups) which can't afford buying the spectrum. So, the government will auction those spectrums at a price of, let's say 1 Re. The government can't sell those spectrums at 1 Re because they'll concur a loss of 9 Rs and auctioning those spectrums will minimise those losses.

I'm demn sure it will be remained in theory not in practical
