The song is a confession song to his girl, Monica with whom he has had many fights.He is confessing to his girlfriend ,Monica for being flirtatious.He blames it on alcohol but at the same time he says he has no excuse.He promises to stay away from the other women, he will do everything for her including making sure that she never goes hungry (belle full) and it is not an April fool joke. He is pleading for her forgiveness and that he won’t do it again, i.e, flirtateoues with other women.Though he blamed alcohol he never promised giving up alcohol.
