I've been using the 4000 now for a couple months & have found thousands of good targets. All metal mode works better than disc mode. I use one mode to confirm the other mode by switching back & forth on the more iffy targets. All metal mode can cover more ground, is more powerful & goes deeper if you can stand all the noise. I just turn the volume down & wait for that high tone. Then I confirm high tones with disc mode. Could use a larger double D coil for more depth though. Good unit overall.

I have an ACE 250 with the 10 X 14 DD coil and the Delta 4000 with the stock coil and the Delta gives the ACE a run for it's money. The Delta actually is a little better at discriminating, but I have learned in order to find misc. cool stuff, you have to dig most signals. I don't usually dig iron or foil. The ACE covers a lot of area faster with the big coil, but the Delta is better at pin pointing. Delta for my daughter & I use it. Most finds 3 to 5". High sens.will go 8" Disc. get's bouncy.

I have a Delta 4000. I was in a Sandy Beach area with clay at around 5 or 6 inches. I found two targets that at 18 inches it is ringing stronger and stronger. But my hole filled with water, so I only did about 2 foot Dept with my little digger. I plan on going back. With a shovel. My question is. Am I most likely going to find a large object, but how deep will that thing pick up?

l own a eurotekpro,Delta4000 and G2+,so i have built on my knowledge of using them to their best ability.The first thing is that the 8inch coil is junk that comes with the delta.The8inch off the eurotekpro works great on it,i have the newer delta,but a pal has the older version,same problem!.Once you put a nel DD coil on,you wont believe the difference in seperation and depth,if you use short,fast sweeps the depth is unbelievable ! loves coins and silver,listen to the tones,thats the best advice,coil to the soil,not wave it 4inches above the soil! HH

I have one of these, been using it about 3 months before winter came. I run my sensitivity at 5, if I go to 4 it doesn't pick up gold, when I run it higher, the constant noise drives me crazy. I found a gold ring the first week out, its a good machine but the numbers do bounce alot, I dug everything the first 2 months! I'm going to get a second beeper for the house, and am looking to grab an Ace 350.

I think you need to decrease sensitivity to stop the numbers from bouncing. 5 is great.

does this unit have an automatic ground balance? and how did you know to set the sensitivity to 10? sorry for the ??'s but i am a newbie and want to learn as much as i can..these type of videos are very useful..and what is with the backwacker comments? takes all types i guess..but i do appreciate your help..these videos take alot of time and effort..and nice yard!

Sounds like ur a compressor is on probably electo mag interference on a lot of the test..

what does the "Target ID 56" ect mean? Or target id and the numbers below?

Reece's Pieces The target ID will give you an indication of the conductivity of an item in the ground. The higher the number the higher the Conductivity.

I am getting discouraged. My 4000 can't seem to know the similarity between a 1979 dime and a 1979 dime. The reader is all over the board! It is 82 going right, 77 going left, and 89 back right again. How am I supposed to learn the range of "bad signals," copper, silver, and an earring, with such wide ranges? And the pull-tabs are also not staying within a range of clarity. Each type sounds off like each type with each discovery. What's with the 25 pt spread? .

If your a newbie get a Tesoro. Really.

This man is making a decent attempt to show people something they may be searching for before buying one of these. If it does much better, then YOU should make the video that shows that instead of just blasting off with your big mouth. Because I'm interested in one of these and this guy is more helpful than you are so far. if it's 'hittin dimes @ 10"' all day every day 'anywhere' then it's time to put up or SHUT UP.
