Its weird because this is my favorite anime film but i honestly dont think its better than akira as a total package. Tekkon just hit me different. Everyone has their own opinion tho

Mmm, idk about that when it comes to the work as a whole, as Akira's storyline is far more fleshed out, but I would definitely say the animation is comparable. Not that either can truly be compared because they're both so good in different ways, but that both present a level of detail and fluidity that is uncommon in most animations

Tbh i loved the voice acting in Tekkon, like studio ghibli they chose wisely for their characters instead of lumping in some low budget American looking to pay off some college fees.

Plus the animations were apparently made to fit the english dubbed version although being in Japanese style art due to the writer or director being american.

@@TheSNIPEZzz Oh, that's the first time I heard that. I didn't know. I always watch original unless I absolutely don't have an option to. Specially with anime I admit I'm a bit negatively biased towards american dubs in general though. I can't recall a piece of media where I enjoyed hearing things in american english. I say american english, because on average, british voice actors, for example, I can appreciate a bit more. Off the top of my head...I can think of the early 90s Batman....or some of the 90s Marvel cartoons where sometimes the american VA fit......in productions like Pixar movies etc...I dig it.....but the american culture flavor can be strong when associated with media originally from other countries, for me.
