IMO Tekken Tag Tournament 2 had the most effort put into the game, not only because of all the characters, all the moves (like this video here), but also all the details with the backgrounds based on real places. I'm still sad I can't play this game after selling my PlayStation 3 over 8 years ago. It's the first fighting game I practiced and took part in a local tournament with as well so it holds a special place in my heart.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is a childhood favorite, I remember spending hours and hours gaming with some friends in highschool. every map has theyre own kickass soundtrack too.

Yup. It was my favourite in the series. They put SO much effort into this game (it was also the first fighting game I looked forward to so much before its release, and practiced with online, so I could drive 2 hours to go take part in a tournament in another town). I'm still sad I can't play it anymore after selling my PlayStation 3 over 8 years ago 😔

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is a good game with all characters from previous Tekken games that came before it. Some characters in Tekken are friends, or foe or in family, or trained from the same trend. That's why some moves are connected to specific character. If you play with Heihachi and Kazuya, they have the special tag moves. Do more Tekken reactions!

Also the last one, That shape shift is because JUN and UNKNOWN are the Last Boss of this game and Their unique throw has UNKNOWN transform into JUN instead of her Tag partner Running in. Also my main is KAZUYA and JINPACHI

Some of these tag moves should really exist in pro wrestling especially like the closeline shove to the back of the neck into a superkick from the tag partner or the shove to the partner with the partner shoving them back into a suplex

It's definitely a possibility. Many wrestlers are video game fans and have incorporated things from fighting games into their movesets. For example, Trish Stratus's Stratusfear move is based on Sonya Blade's leg grab from Mortal Kombat.

I first started playing Tekken with Tekken 2 at a friend's house way back in 97. It's my favorite fighting series, to heck with Street Fighter, Mortal Kobat, etc, this one is the best.

Deadvor Alive 4 tag throws are also worth checking out

Fun fact (kinda): Capoeira was invented by slaves to protect themselves, but since them learning to fight would obviously draw attention, they used some African traditional stuff and hid the fighting style as a dance, which is why it involves a lot of spinning kicks and handstands

Tekken is my favorite fighting game, and I love it more than Street Fighter or King of Fighters or Mortal Combat (as my gore tolerance is low), because Tekken devs think out of the box to make stuff like these happen. Also if you guys like Tekken, you should check out Evolution of Yoshimitsu, as he is one my favorite characters in Tekken and his appearance changes every generation.

Those are indeed mostly real world locations, scouted by the namco team; some of them by Harada himself while on vacations (Trevi, Tulip Fields, Palo Duro canyon, the Barcelona Festival) to name a few. The amount of creativity in this game I'm glad I still have this on ps3

A little insight, watch how their feet move. Slower feet movement means slower attacks but harder hitting combos. Faster feet movement means faster attacks but lighter combos. Eddie however, the guy in the yellow and green clothes doesn’t play with this rule. He hits fast and hard and can take half your health bar in a matter of seconds if you’re not careful (Miguel is the same way except he hits exceptionally harder). Also slower feet movement means a little easier to master while faster takes a little more time to master.

Omg I can't wait when y'all get to the Dead or Alive series honestly, they also have tag throws.

So, there's a little bit of a backstory to these throws: - Kazuya (white) and Heihachi's (black clothes) throws represent their Tekken 5 intro. You can check out their comparison. - Kazuya and Lee (white hair) hate each other; In fact, in Tekken 1, Lee is Kazuya's sub-boss (a.k.a. before final boss) - The headbutts all represent the people who learned under the Mishima fighting styles. Yes, even the bears. - Kazuya wanted to make Alex (the boxer raptor) and Roger (the boxer kangaroo) so a unique tag throw is needed. - There is a special tag throw between the Mishimas and the Kazamas. Mishima performs the headbutt and the Kazamas throw them to the ground. A reference to Jun and Kazuya, the couple in the games. - Violet is Lee in disguise, only fittingly on those types of clothing & dye. - Paul (Red) and Marshall Law (Black pants) are friends. This is also true for Forest Law (white clothing), which is Marshall Law's son. Throws are unique to the three of them. - Paul and Bryan references Tekken 3 and 6; 3 from the stage, 6 from the intro (same punch type) - Recently, in Tekken 6, Steve also got in the friendship of Paul and Law, so a unique throw is referenced. - Paul and Kuma are enemies. Kuma is a sub-boss of Paul in Tekken 1 and 2. - Paul and Kunimitsu don't have anything referential other than move synergy. - Nina (blonde) and Anna (brunette) are sisters. - Ogre (aztec guy) and True Ogre (monster) are basically transformations; Aztec is form 1, Monster is form 2. - Bosconovitch has some research on True Ogre and his blood. It's on Yoshimitsu's ending in Tekken 3. - Steve, Roger jr. and Alex are boxers. They have that kind of throw specific to them only. - As Mizaru being Xiao's echo fighter, throws that are from Xiaoyu can also work on Miharu (e.g. Alisa, Heihachi) - Asuka and Lili (white dress) became rivals during Tekken 6. - This is also the case of Sebastian (old butler) and Lili. Sebastian is the personal butler of Lili. - Yoshimitsu and Raven are both ninjas; Kunimitsu also works. - Also a little bit of detail: Devil Jin is considered a Mishima, and Jin in his normal form is a Kazama. - Some of the throws are just variations of normal tag throws according to species and size. - Dragunov (the Russian with the brown coat) and Bryan are kinda considered rivals - Zafina has an affiliation with monster bosses like Azazel from 6 and 7, and Ogre from Tag 2. - Lars and Alisa are both protagonists of Tekken 6. - Lars is just an outside family member being the descendant of Heihachi. - So people wanted to see a slimmer Bob after his ending in Tekken 6. So he has a throw to himself. AND Spoilers: - Jun and Unknown are also echo fighters, so throws from Jun can also work on Unknown. Jun in this version is Unknown since they use the similar fighting style. Before, rumors began that Unknown was Jun's sister, but only on paper.

I like that almost everyone in Tekken does a pretty decent, but obviously exaggerated, version of real martial arts and speaks their native language. It's the little things that make entire countries love these characters, and it's pretty apparent if you watch the reaction to Fahkumram's reveal trailer during a tournament in Thailand

Yeah this was so unique, and kinda like they're first try at super moves in a way. But my one of my favorites is Bryan, and him plus Draganuv tag combo is pretty dope 👌🏿 I just can't wait till you guys do all character ending reaction tho! They're so great...besides tekken 7 for some reason 🙄

The headbutt ones were mercifully cut down into a montage, if the video maker left every single one in at full length, the vid would probably be 3-5 minutes longer.

Around 11:45 she said "ikimasu" which is Japanese for "I'm going" although a more proper translation would be either "Here I go", or "Here I come". An example in a sentence could be "Watashi wa kyou ginkou ni ikimasu." Which means "I'm going to the bank today. "Watashi wa" notes that "I am" is the subject matter. "Kyou" notes the time when something happens and obviously "ikimasu" notates the actual action. Unrelated to the video, but one Japanese gamer got himself banned for telling his teammate to run in a PUBG battle royale game. This is because the autoban bot couldn't differentiate between the Japanese word for "run" ("Nigeru") from the no-no N word. It's a little unfortunate that speaking Japanese can get you in some hot water either through copyright, or other issues when bots don't understand other languages exist.

It is a video about a combo challenge mode in the game, where you need to do combos that game shows you on the screen. And let me tell you, some of the combos from that game is just crazy.

The Tag throws were definitely one of aspects the devs put a lot of care into. So much attention to detail in the movements that fits each character. If you haven’t noticed or just haven’t watched a lot of TTT2 related videos, it’s a game that has a lot of love and fan service put into it for the fans. And the fact that it sold very poorly due to bad marketing is just a damn shame. Hope Tekken Tag Tournament 3 (which everyone assumes will come after Tekken 9 because the Tag games come out after 3 main sequels so far) will have a better reception and just as much care put into it as 2.
