​@idleeagle, do you like playing viewers? Btw, this basic breakdown is pretty good. You missed a plus frame move and others things like his roll options and other charge move along with other normals. Its funny how people hate kuma and king when they aren't that crazy lol

Its reductive to say this Kuma is bad or weak. Kuma's moves are pretty fucking good for being launch punishable. They have huge range and huge hitboxes hitting grounded with truck loads of damage. They also have varied pushback so you have always have to keep in mind what punish you are going for. After every move that Kuma does you will always be in range of Kuma, but the bear himself will be out of range for most of your pokes and punishers. Going for a launch punish on a -16 move only to be out ranged and launched in turn by Kuma is infuriating but all too common. The additional mental effort required to keep the correct punishes in mind also takes a huge toll. Its not easy at all because there are hardly any Kuma players out there, you'll be meeting one Kuma opponent in a week.

Literally why I’m here. This matchup is so incredibly easy when I play Lars, but when I play Steve I got Doom Eternal music playing in my head cause I literally cannot capitalize on anything.

Wow I heard Kuma and Panda were really bad but I didn't realize they were this bad LOL. Thanks for this video!

I've been maining him since 7...the new nerfs hurt him so much. But i think it was a nod heihachi having bad and big betting lows. Anytime i go against people that know its rough plus he has no big offense, starting moves or strings, unlike most characters. He's pretty honest when broken down. A kuma player has to learn the game, frames, characters punishment, heavy defense, and hard reads on high levels. His heat is good and the enhanced roll is crazy at the wall or on knockdown that can give guaranteed hits or force mix ups but its short lived.

His guard crush is another knowledge check. You have to duck the final hit. It's mid mid high.

My counter to bear is to simply not rematch. Give him your points and walk away. You only have to give him your points once.

Still the df2,1 is an amazing whiff punish with good range. And it’s hit confirmable after the first hit.

u1+2, b1+2, you can also use full crouch 1 as sub for db2. one frame slower but safe on block

Bryans f4,1 has huge range and is 18 frames so he can definetly punish ff2

The only thing I have learned from this video is the devs need to take around 3-4 frames of recovery off of basically every move in kumas movelist, dear god thats some dogshit balancing.

Bottom 2? More like top 1. And by very wide margin. Bears are so OP they deserve their own tier above the rest of the roster.

He can delete you yea his range is larger than any character yea but he's weak.......
