Hey Duelist! Brilliant video as per usual, personally I’ll always go for the PEWGF just for the mental damage it inflicts on opponents as I find they will usually respect my DF2 more when I land it, opening them up to my 50/50’s but I’ll try experimenting with these methods and see how they impact my performance. On a quick side note, would you be interested doing an intermediate/advanced strategy guide for Kaz in Tekken 8?

This is a bit of a more abstract point but the time it takes to get good at pewgf combo and maintain a high level of consistency would probably be better spent practicing something else like matchup knowledge. This isn’t to say that you cant practice both pewgf combo AND matchup knowledge, but if time is a limiting factor for you and you aren’t a veteran player with years of MU knowledge you will definitely get more damage output by being able to low parry junkyard or block a snake edge etc than you would if you were able to pewgf combo.

Pewgf is always best choice to do but need alot of practice for those who is start recently to main kaz so keep it in ur mind if ure execution is not that much skip pewgf and do a stable combo to do not lose maybe round cuz of it BTW nice video bro keep it up❤❤

I gave Kaz a fair try and tried really hard to like him but it's just not worth the pain. I'm switching to Devil Jin which quite literally does everything better than Kazuya while still having similar core mechanics.

That mini dash combo is not easy as well because of the df1df2 hitbox

it's not about the dmg it's about the satisfaction that i feel when i see my opponent goes up in the air after the df2 for me I will always go for the pewgf even if it's gives me less dmg or i drop it and lose the round cuz i don't play Kaz to win i play him to feel the satisfaction of rewarding all that years of hard work

I thought it was pretty obvious doing PEWGF was never worth it in any real competitive sense and the only people who did just wanted swag points. TBH though the math surprised me a little bit since the damage increase is pretty good when it lands. It's pretty hard to do a proper calculation of it but I can see going for a PEWGF worth it if the +damage from it would kill. A more nuanced and realistic scenario would be calculating whether it's worth going for it when you're behind 70% life and in rage. And even then it would probably *only* be feasible if you're one of those people who have been practicing it for years. That said, it's definitely not worth practicing imo and Kazuya players generally have a weird obsession with wanting to land it. If there's one thing Tekken 8 Kazuya players should actually practice perfecting it's punishing rage arts with EWGF and not ch df2 PEWGF combos.

I know one thing for sure. Meduse going to be so pissed if people start to recommend this strategy to him LOL

@@premiumr98 Its not the same thing. Ch ws3 is +14 and guarantees a 14 frame electric but with scaled dmg. In pewgs scenario, the follow-up electric doesnt scale and is 13 frames fast
