Great guide! I think Jun is best played patiently and methodically. A lot of people on the subreddit seem to think she's just unga bunga big damage but I think she rewards strong fundamentals and counterplay. I'm loving this iteration of her.

I agree! Even though I like playing aggressively, I am very careful and defensive with her. Yeah she has the unga stuff anyway but she feels more rewarding when played patiently.

Great guide. Does the FF2~F, 2 finisher still work after Gen 4? I seem to either whif or they hit the ground?

Thank you! Yes, it still works. I think you might be doing it too slow. Try pressing FF2 when the Gen 4 animation almost ends. Hope it is helpful!

always keep the basics in mind. i am in red ranks atm. i'll be trying to be fancy and nothing will work. then i pull out the basics and they cant handle it

I cant wrap my head around the 1,2,2 string. Even if they block my last hit (the spin into Izumo) and I should be +6, their jab still beats my block (if i choose to block instead of doing a izumo mix-up). How can this be? Is it something obvious im missing here? When i test it, it seems like 1,2,2 string is unsafe even if they block all my hits (ie dont duck the last one) and even if it says that im +6.

Well, she can't block in Izumo stance and when you do nothing there, you will be vulnurable! That's because it takes a little time to go into the neutral block after 1,2,2 and opponents will be already recovered from the block stun.

Dunno if you still need it but it's 1+4 immediately after you do the input for the low sweep from stance

D/F 1,2 is not superior to D/F 1,1 in every way if it can be ducked and punished, that string is risky

People keep saying Jun is broken. I dont agree with it. Hby? I think shes strong and really good but i dont think shes close to broken. Her pokes are okay. The heavens light ( thats what i call it) is nice but you lose health and your turn. Sure u can spam it in heat but still. I think shes got awesome wall carry and damage. I dont see her close to drag or anyone else. I think people cry about that one move. Heavens light

Jun definitely isn't broken. She's no Hwoarang, Reina, King, or Drag. You can downright abuse with those characters. She's slower, has way less pokes, CH options, and most of her integral moveset can be ducked

That combo at 4:25 is pretty weak unless it is for the kill. It's only 62dmg and the final 10dmg are pretty easy to drop, not to mention you miss out on healing from heat burst. The only upside is that you can make a combo out of a normally non-combo move, assuming you hit and are holding forward already since the head-dash is not hit confirmable. Love the combos though. Thanks for the video.

Lol I like using the same song for these kind of guides. To me, videos feels consistent that way. If I prepare guide for another char, I would use a different song of course. This is just for Jun stuff
