TEKKEN™8 - Here is why Kajek Setup is less effective in tekken 8
Kajek's Okizeme setup was one of the first things to be gone in tekken 8, if you are wondering why Jin players no longer use it, here it is why.

Congrats on 10K🎉🎉
Well deserved 10k subs, this is one of the best Jin channels for beginner-intermediate players

Damage scaling with the Jin tips and tricks let’s go ❤
This is my first time hearing about the "Kajek" setup, thanks for the info good sir.
Ws 1, 33 into cd1 as a combo ender is a great ender but inescapable from the front. If you get up just by tapping up you can block the cd1. You can turn it into a mix-up, however, if the opponent knows how to block the cd1 you can mix it with hellsweep. Bom trabalho mano!
Doing well thanku ❤

It did indeed
If you do Kajek Setup into ZEN U+1, this beats every option except stand block and stay on ground. It even catches tech roll. you can mix this up with ZEN 4 upon Kajek Setup knockdown for plus frames on wakeup or damage on grounded.
While rising 1,3~3 doesn't guarantee ecd1 from the front if they press up. Definitely not inescapable damage sadly. This is jins variation of the kazuya tech MainMan found when T8 launched.
Interesting stuff, Eddy. I understood this setup as being much more narrow than you're saying. I thought it was a forced 50/50 situation specifically out of Jin's HS (or I guess back turned opponent in general), rather than a stance mixup out of a spike/pin/whatever. I figured it was just unnecessary now since Jin isn't getting a back turned launch on HS anymore, and that's why it wasn't being used. I saw the WS1, 3~3 (brk stp) as similar but distinct tech, since it's just as good on a front facing or back turned opponent, and you're going into breaking step rather than CDS...or Zen...I will never remember which is which lol I do miss the flex of running up and doing WS1, 2 into stance in T7 though. I couldn't land it consistently, but it hit like a truck if I did and got the right follow up! Btw, is there any utility to WS1, 2 now? It seems like if you're going for a punish, you're better off doing the WS1, 3, 2, 1, 4, 2 and if you're going for a setup WS1 3~3 is better.
