@@MoonTripxprobably to find what combos still work, cause some combos from T7 still exist in T8 but slightly altered Plus DJ’s gameplan is still relatively the same so it’s not like it’s a bad guide to follow in terms of his overall neutral

His tag 2 Mishima tutorials were some.of the best fighting game tutorials.ever created imo. it wouldn't surprise me.if he was watching that to brush up on what he could do when he was still.busted in 7 or just out of curiosity.

to be fair he says them all as he's doing them. i'd give him a pass with on-screen notation given the quality, and the quantity, of guides he's pumping out

was very ready for this guide but a little feedback i’m a complete beginner with the character and you were right when you said can’t do an electric yet 😅 so it was discouraging that the first beginner combo was start with a perfect electric, also in beginner stuff it’s really helpful to mention the inputs because to me do the laser wasn’t really something i could follow 🙏

Bro believe me, just don't. If you want to play Mishima's pick Jin or Reina at least or any other character which have 15 frame hopkick or d/f+2. Playing Devil Jin equals not being able to launch punish anything. Even stupid stuff like RA or super obvious unsafe move b cause you don't have good launchers until your ewgf is perfect. Even when it becomes perfect you will also need insane reflexes to execute the punish at the right time. Compare this with just mashing u/f+4 on Jin and always getting your punish. You will spend tons of time just practicing electrics and suddenly you'll realise that there are a LOT of other aspects in Tekken you've completely missed. Heelsweep is good until it's blocked two times in a row. Wavedash pressure is a myth until high orange ranks or even further. Green rank guys would mash buttons even after dragunovs wr+2 because they don't give a shit about frames.

@@Rift04 yes, it is. But it's still much harder to punish with d+3+4 than with regular launchers. You can't low crush with d34, can't spam it from time to time. It also launch punishable on block. A lot of characters can spam really nasty moves against dvj until he can reliably punish them with ewgf.

I mean imagine not being able to punish blocked snake edge, because you don't have hopkick, your d3+4 requires crouch cancel and you must literally squeeze all damage from ws+2 which requires much more execution than most other characters in roster.

Great guide as usual.I wanted to play devil Jin and Jin again but for some reason some bindings like 2+3 and 1+2 can't be use to just frame electrics anymore and i don't wanna reset 3 years worth of muscle memory. I use a ps5 controller and my bindings on L1 and L2

I like doing ewgf, u1+2, dash, 31ff, 2, b21, then b23 to finish off the combo and get a good wall placement

With the b4 counterhit you can actually hit 2 electrics into circus, but it‘s quite hard and unreliable since you have to deep dash the second Electric on the right time

Now I want a Combo Video for every famous Character like Paul, Hwoarang or Law

Hope you do the same guide for Reina. After maining Lars since T6, I decided to main a REAL Mishima for T8 and went with Reina cause I really liked her deisgn (i love the color purple) and in my country Reina (or Reyna) means Queen so that checks out😂 rn I can only do basic combos and 6/10 electrics

21:48 I also like to pick up with low jab after CD3 into WS2 or WS1,1, so that even if the first scaling hit is still garbage, you would up the damage points a little.

22:30 From b4 CH, you can also do d/f+3 2 4, which is just as easy and have better damage than 1+4

counter hit b4 you can follow up with fd1 jab into b2.1

I been playing Asuka and jun since the game came out n found combos from 25-80 damage with no heat wave like TMM said it’s just takes time in the lab to find cooler and better strings

Sick guide. Idk why i cant do the wind step with Devil Jin. Can do it perfectly fine with Kaz and Reina My highest combo damage with Devil Jin is 85 but i dont think its worth doing cuz the final part depends on how they land on the wall. Its similar to your devil twister combo

I think it's because it's harder to do electrics on the right, because your thumb would get in the way (mainly for an arcade stick) so they play on the right, so that they can do electrics on the left easily anyway, if they master it on the right.

A lot of mishima playerd at a high level favor the right side because they find electrics easier on that side. Ultimatrly though its all personal preference
