Why didn't they show their real community interactions? Like shutting down tekken 8 content creator channels or people using mods. Maybe they do love their community tho coz they show mad love to the pluggers and cheaters. Remember folks, you can use an auto blocking script but you can't mod the character skins

Even without all the recent community outrage factored in, this video just kinda sucks. Half of the clips are like 480p, and I get that they're all low ranks, but even so nothing noteworthy or hype happened in any of them. It's just people landing heat engagers, some 3-second-long clips cut out of the middle of some crappy combos, the last hit of a chain throw, and for the finale, a rage art that didn't even kill...

I think the t7 goodwill was by luck and circumstance. They did what they could with what they had and delivered a game that after some limited tweeks turned into a banger. However if you look at the late game dlc this is kinda clearly where they wanted to go. Kuni is a representation of everything wrong with t8 rn and we had our trailer earlier than we even knew. With the failure that were t6 tt2 and now t8 and how proud they are about how its going I have a feeling they see t7 as a redheaded step child and think we have it wrong and their vision is right and we need to adapt or get over it.

Ah yess the pure art of combat in this game is immaculate this game has me hoppin on every day to throw some hands

Guys is it just me or should chip damage and heat be reworked? (cause this doesn't feel like tekken, anymore)

Sure over-powered system mechanics like the Heat system and Rage arts look cool and cinematic for promo vids, but they've just crippled the beautiful refined gameplay built up over the years and reduced Tekken to a casino where it no longer feels like the better player consistently wins. The game mechanics have been purposely dumbed down so that beginners can feel powerful, and it kind of taps into that gambling high. It's fun at first, but it just doesn't hold up over time and in higher level play when you are constantly forced to eat blind mix-ups in unearned situations, especially Heat Smashes which can destroy your life bar through high priority and big damage or an unseeable low, but then also punish the defender for successfully defending by leaving them at massive disadvantage and eating what is often a stance based mix-up at negative frames. This video is just one more insult to the Community as the sleezy Post Launch team somehow has the audacity to attempt to monetize community footage through marketing because they've literally tried to monetize everything else in a near $100 (where I'm from) game, littering the original slick UI with the tacky popups begging for money, selling DLC that they held out of seasons passes, or the condescending psychology of battle passes and FOMO, that you would expect from a Free to Play game.
