Don’t sell yourself short, Phi. You blew up when you beat Arslan Ash at CEO 2023, then you pivoted into full time content creation and became the BEST Tekken content creator! You did not luck into this, you deserve it!

Yeah there’s no doubt Phi has the best Tekken 8 content. He is the smartest because he has a real grasp of the state of early Tekken 8 because we all needed that because we were all so worried if Tekken 8 would get things fixed and I bet Bandai Namco listened to his videos and took note. He feels like a friend, can translate professional tactics to every level of play. He is the most charming and charismatic and entertaining and most of all realest Tekken 8 content creator, and Tekken 8 will be like an 8-9 year long game and the T8 audience will grow greatly i that time, and T8 will bring people to Phi and Phi will make the T8 experience even better, so i’m sure Phi will have +500 000 subscribers at some point of T8 lifetime🎉

No, I think it's good for him to acknowledge the element of luck, because its often the arrogant ones who claim they got where they are without luck. There's always luck, no matter how hard you work, and there'll always be people just as talented and hardworking who don't make it, so I think him acknowledging luck shows self awareness and some respect to those fellow creators

@@sleepybinch How is it luck if you make quality content and you are a known respectable player? Where’s the luck in it? You need quality content and hard work. No matter what field you work in that’s how you get the results. The only part luck had played here is his mother giving birth (happy mother’s day) to a smart and likeable guy who genuinely enjoys Tekken and who has a ton of talent and uses it.

I think what I love the most about your content is that it feels like a conversation you'd have with a training partner when you're both trying to figure out the game. Discussing mindset, strategies, etc. Except when watching your videos the training partner happens to be a pro player lol. The podcast style videos where you're talking to other pros especially capture this energy. I wonder if it would make sense to do a "sparring" type video rather than purely discussion when you talk with Speedkicks or other pros. For example, the two of you get into a gauntlet mode session, and just exchange blows while discussing your thought process and strategies. It might not make sense for a history discussion like your last Speedkicks video, but for discussing gameplay strategies, or even coaching strategies, I feel like it would be interesting to watch. On another note, regarding pure gameplay content, I really enjoyed watching your video versing MainManSWE, because you're able to vocalize your thought process and problem solving so well. If you want to post pure gameplay, I'd love to see maybe some curated sets while you're playing ranked where you comment on interesting interactions, or interesting adaptations that you had to do.

CONGRATS PHI!!!! Thank you for everything you've done, and for helping me to fall in love with Tekken. I've been a guilty gear player for about 6 years, and always loved watching tournaments for T7, but was never able to play it myself, because it felt so overwhelming. Your videos and guides made tekken (while still having a huge amount to learn) actually digestable and made it seem feasible to learn all it's complexities. I hit my first purple rank today actually and I'm still loving the learning process. I missed the original posts asking for video ideas, but I'd love to see a video about okizeme in Tekken. Scoring a knockdown in Tekken feels way different to 2D games, given all the options that the opponent has on the floor, so I very often don't take the opportunity to apply pressure when i get that knockdown. It's a pretty common hole in my opponents' gameplan as well at my rank. I think it'd be interesting to breakdown the general principles for applying oki in tekken, and then how to counter the options that the opponent might take on the ground. Keep doing what you're doing, and can't wait to see you and the team tear shit up at the Sajam slam!

my idea would be a silly type of tierlist, like: best drip spice tolerance chronically online those types. that way, you can have low effort [probably high return] fun, without the negativity or, also, for the tutorial type brain, "how to close out a match" I tend to have an issue closing out a 3-0 or winning my comeback. I drop my consistency in that last round and idk if it's just that I psych myself out or I run out of focus, but it'd be good to have a guide line. Congrats, tho! You earned every bit of success you've seen and what's to come.

Phi, first I want to say thank you for your hard work and congratulations! You deserve it. Tekken 8 is my first Tekken game and you’ve been so helpful with just understanding a lot of the craziness that is Tekken As for suggestions on videos, one I’d be really interested in is how to break out of “flowchart” offense. Everyone has a flowchart, sure, but how do you adapt your game so that you aren’t overly reliant on your flowchart and instead start playing very solid Tekken

I'm relatively new to your channel but I have been absolutely absorbing your content into my bloodstream. Love your positive approach and analyst outlook on things. My submission for video type is viewer submitted replay analysis. I think you could do a lot of work in providing people experience in viewing more generic and average gameplay. If this is something you already do then I'll keep an eye out but if not, I think it's something that could connect you and your viewer base as well as allow you to continue doing what you love doing.

First off, congrats on all your success and I wish you even more going forward. Second, I hope when you start going to tournaments you are able to pre-record some videos so you can maintain your daily videos while also being able to keep all your focus on the tournament. I really want to see you do well on the big stages, and I think having a small vault of videos to put out when you need to focus or even just take a day or two off would be great for your mental so you don't feel like you're falling behind on anything. and as a video suggestion... viewer replay roasts? maybe stream watchers can spend channel points to enter a queue for their replay's to get roasted/educated? you could also add timestamps/links in the description to the vods if they want to see the whole roast session or something. then you can just put a compilation of those in a youtube video like 2-4 times a month (if it does well) this also lets you create something for both twitch and youtube.

Here's a video idea, coming from myself to my local group of Tekken upcomers that I am coaching Creating your own setups: I've noticed stuff going on with the game that is universal that people lowkey know, but no one talks about with - frames on block: -9 to -8: Duck into ws/fc setup -7 to -5: Sabaki/Counter/Parries -5 and less: PC traps -4 to -3: Sidestep setups -2 and less: Frame traps When you look at your movelist on block, you can follow this general rule to create your own setups. Granted each tier can still apply to the one right next to it given distance and other nuances

Gonna be a bit of a long comment Phi but I hope this offers some insight and value for you. First let me say congrats on the accomplishment and success you honestly deserve it. Your analysis and tutorial content really helped make my first serious attempt at learning Tekken a lot less stressful and way more streamlined. A lot of concepts in 3D fighters I didn’t fully understand and your vids really do help. Now I’m not some big content creator but as an aspiring one and someone who’s spent a lot of time understanding it I hope some of this advice can help. I’m glad you have learned not to stress numbers as much. Obviously they do matter in some regard but fixation on them can really hurt the passion or worse kill it. It’s easy to end up making less of the content you want to make and more of the content you feel you have to or need to make. Try to always stay true to your goals with your channel. Your audience matters but remember if you aren’t having fun they won’t either. Long story short just try to do more of what you enjoy or at the least squeeze those vids and projects. In to keep yourself happy with the process. KZread is always gonna have peaks and valleys some days you are the one others you are not. It’s normal and ok. What matters is you remain consistent and not be afraid to shake the mold if you will and find new ways to enhance your content. That can be introducing a new style or just an element of some kind. As long as you keep providing that value you will be golden. At 100k and way before then you reach a point where you gotta recognize that some people just gonna trash talk you and your vids because it’s the thing to do. Big KZreadr hate mentality is a weird but real thing. In the end try to look for the comments that either provide constructive critique, or some reasonable motivation. Hate without any kind of understandable reasoning isn’t really worth the energy. But someone with a real complaint is worth hearing out. Overall though try not to get lost in the comment hellscape. I think you got a great thing going here. And I hope to see it continue to grow and thrive. Im just a viewer but if you ever feel like the grind is getting to you if I can offer any advice I’d be happy to do so. I just like seeing dope people do great things and succeed. Simple as that sounds. Anyways much love man. And again CONGRATS! Can’t say you deserve it enough

This usually shows they need to work on several things that have a noticeable big impact and are actually reasonable & obtainable skills to learn.

maybe a series where you talk with a pro about their main character, eventually covering most the roster. this sidesteps the unease in covering a character you are unfamiliar with, not a comprehensive breakdown but highlights and notes. sprinkle in some other questions etc... obviously scheduling would be a nightmare but as an irregular feature perhaps. i know the question was calling for a singular video, but considering all the request you had for X character this was my compromised solution. you could test it out as a one off, no promises ^^ anyway, keep doing what you're doing. newcomer to your channel and tekken here and really enjoy your style.
