Kazuya is going to hate this girl, I bet. Especially since she's his sister. Everything related to Heihachi would just be enough to just set him off. With Heihachi gone, I could see Kazuya setting his sights on her and Lars, just simply cause they are Heihachi's kids (his half brother and half sister). Even after finally killing him, Kazuya still hates his father and is clearly haunted by the man, so having anything related to him would just end up on his hit list, likely wanting to rid everything linked to Heihachi in every way.

I saw from another video, that Heihachi was cloning his genes with the Ogre blood to create more of a legacy. But he needed the devil gene from Jin to activates Ogres power. Somehow he was able to get it and that’s how she was able to come about. If you look at the timeline, Heihachis Tekken 4 intro story, it all aligns with her age. She has Heihachis genes, but also the devil gene from Jin. That’s why Nina who exactly where she came from. She said you’re Mishima’s… (daughter/ experiment from Tekken 4).

I'm honestly amazed at how instantly iconic Reina is, especially because she's essentially filling the role Heihachi left behind. It's crazy how likable she is while being low-key insane. She'll make a great antagonist for future installments. Her design is fabulous and her voice actress did a phenomenal job. Though Tekken 8 is Jin's redemption story above all else...his aunt totally stole the show. Heihachi would be proud. :) Glad she got to fight with the good guys in this installment because this lady is definitely starting her villain arc after awakening the devil gene. It's easy to root for her though, partially because she hasn't done anything evil yet but also because her main motivation is to avenge her dad. Given how the plot of this franchise has revolved around Mishima's hating their dads...Reina admiring and idolizing hers is refreshing. We don't know if Heihachi ever interacted with her since this is her debut and all, but imagine if he actually raised her and kept her existence secret. On some level, it would explain him softening up a bit in Tekken 7. That man was a raving, power-hungry lunatic for so many games and committed all manner of evil...and then in Tekken 7 he was the protagonist getting a redemption arc of sorts. Perhaps Reina was why Heihachi agreed to talk to that reporter? I don't know. Whatever the case may be, it's nice to see that she genuinely admired and respected him. It's endearing...in a twisted sort of way. Besides, Kazuya could use a few more beat downs in my opinion.

Yeah, Kazuya is clearly gonna hate this girl, simply for being the daughter of the man he hates the most, his own father. No doubt, it would also make Lars a target for Kazuya's hatred, simply for being his brother. Yeah, I could Kazuya still hating Heihachi, even after finally killing him. Heihachi is propably laughing in his grave at Kazuya.

She’s basically Azula from ATLA. The younger female sibling more naturally wired to rule over and carry legacy of her tyrannical father and his empire. That got me interested on how they’ll use her as the villain for tekken 9 and what kind of conclusion we’ll get for Jun and Kazuya cause it seems it isn’t quite over with them.

Reina reminds me of a lesser evil Big Smoke in that although she has plans to conquer the world, and maybe do wrong, she has no ill will towards the rest of her family and would even want them beside her in the Mishima Zaibatsu to aid in her conquest against the world. If they refuse though, she’d kill them to get them out of her way and stop them from messing with her plans.

@@Scrappy._.0216 Nah, the easiest explanation is still the fact that as an initial plan after Kazuya died, Heihachi probably made sure to find a woman who had the Devil Gene (Reina's mother), and had a kid with her to produce strong heirs or to see if he could extract the Devil Gene from them. I think in this case though, Heihachi did get attached to Reina and didn't really experiment on her after it was found out that Jin carried the Devil Gene as well. If we're working with the idea that Azazel was the origin point of the Devil Gene, then it's not out of the realm of possibility that a lot of the descendants of his followers carry it somehow, like the Hachijo clan.

For those who are asking how she got the devil gene. She took a blast head home the one Kazuya used to kill everyone and she survived it. She realised how to get the power after fighting Jin. When Jin took blows from her that he ended up relying on the devil's power. She knew she would find a way to get the power the same way (through near death since she's a Mishima). Yes Kazuya and Jin were born with it but to activate it they had to experience near death. Same with how Kazuya survived falling off a cliff and Jin waking up after being shot in the head by Heihachi. Oh! And when Kazumi took blows from Heihachi

@@elscud. She's a Mishima. The devil gene gets to that family since they are strong fighters. A fighter has to experience near death in order to activate it. Azazel is the actual devil and he passes the gene. When Kazuya tried to wipe everyone with a blast, she took it head on and she survived. She easily got it since that full devil form of Kazuya has Azazel in it since he absorbed him to merge Azazel's power with him

Feels like she was an experiment that heihachi did but failed and he gave up on her. She always wanted to try to unlock the devil within her therefore trying to understand how is it that Jin managed to unlock his but she couldn’t. And on top of that she looks up and respects heihachi a lot. My guess is heihachi had a secret second family and he was a good father in this family probably with another woman from the Hachijo clan.

@@dkcsi9256 Kuma exist you know... The bear not only meet heihachi but also got teached, spoiled and practically treated more like a son compared to his actual son. He's capable to be a decent father at least but it's inconsistent, so Reina probably got treated better by him. Fun fact he seems to like Xiao yu so much that he give her a panda, you know the panda that always following her around and the one kuma got a crush on? Yeah he could be decent Bu he choose to be a scumbag.

I have a crack theory that Heihachi had Kazumi's body preserved somewhere so that he can delve deeper about the devil gene. He was still somehow able to get, preserve, and freeze several of Kazumi's eggs. Which resulted to Reina... Besides, Heihachi had a past history of experimenting with genetics and how the devil gene was passed down. In fact, at first, he thought that the devil gene works like an STD and he could've gotten it (he was wrong with this assumption, as proven by Lars' existence). Also, they did the same thing with Nina, which resulted to Steve, so it's not far off that Heihachi would do that...

I like how Tekken 4. Characters usually use their main language but when interacting with each other they try to use a common language to get their point across. Like Jin and Hwoarang. They both speak Japanese and Korean in the game but speaking with each other. They do broken English. The new Tekken games after. They just speak their own language of their country and its expected they understand each other off the bat. I know this is fantasy and ridiculous but put a little bit of logic.

So you're telling me that she manage to hide herself after all these years without arousing suspicion, and still manage to get to this level of power while Kazuya and Jin needed to shed a lot of blood in order to get to the level where they are now. I call BS on this one.

She went head to head with true devil kazuya and didn't even get pushed enough to activate her own gene which is the reason she fought. , she is basically heiachi but with devil gene. Everyone is fucked. Strongest in verse even before Jin and kazuya lost their gene.

My only question is how is it that Claudio died from the same blast that Devil made but Reina survived the same exact blast an broad actually now possesses the Devil gene now.

Reina always possessed the Devil gene but was unable to activate it. Unless they are about to lose life like when Kazuya got thrown down the cliff or Jin got gunned down in Tekken 3.
