Tekken 3 Opening FMV
Remastered in 1080p using ESRGAN [AI Machine Learning]
ESRGAN is an AI Neural Network software that is capable of upscaling and reconstructing low-resolution images, while retaining most of their elements and details intact.
I took the original video file from the Tekken 3 PS1 disk, and used ESRGAN with alsa64's denoising model [JPG (0-20%)] andthe Manga109 training model to upscale the video 4 times its original resolution.
Original resolution: 256x224
ESRGAN Upscale: 1024x896 → 1440x1080
Пікірлер: 393
I'm sorry this took so long, but upscaling this video has always been a headache (so much noise and compression artifacts... and the resolution is so low, even for PS1 standards). This time I used alsa64's denoising model, which finally made the results look a bit more acceptable. As an extra, here's also the arcade opening FMV upscaled to 1080p: kzread.info/dash/bejne/o2qApZqPhc7OhJs.html

I was wondering how did you de-noise it thought it might be waifu2x then the other programs? Speaking of games with alot of really bad noises, I think Fear Effect is kinda bad, Even the Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge game for a ps2 and xbox game are bad, as it cutscenes are pre-rendered videos that try to match the ingame graphics. Oh how about the Jedi Knight Dark Forces 2 live action cutscenes? those would be good to scale up.

Who's the old guy at 1:41? Always wondered who that was, I just assumed it was Eddy's dad or something. Edit: I just looked it up, he's the capoeira grandmaster that taught Eddy and is Christie's grandfather. He was apparently selected to be in Tekken 4 as well but got cut. There's even an audio file of the announcer saying "Grandmaster". Would be interesting to see if there is any character data leftover for him.

Correct. Eddy Learned the Art Of Capoeira from Christie’s Grandfather during his time in prison. And Eddy made a vow that he would pass on the Art Of Capoeira to Christie and he did. And shortly after Returning from The King Of Iron Fist Tournament 3 Eddy took Christie under his wing and taught her the Art of Capoeira just like he promised.
