The most beautiful character selection music in the entire Tekken saga. Many memories, this music reminds me of my carefree childhood, it gives me a sense of nostalgia. My main character has always been Kazuya Mishima.

True , but what Musicians like Yuzo Koshiro did with their limitations , made their talent shine even more. Playstation , there was no limitations. It was CD music.

Wow, never fully appreciated this game much because I started with Tekken 3. But playing it now I can say this is the best character select theme of the series.

I used to play this masterpiece game every weekend of my childhood without stopping. I didn't have a memory card and I had to start the game from 0 every time until I won all the characters to play with Kazuya or Devil. This game will be forever in my heart and the entire suite of PlayStation 1 games. Incredible times.

Ive been looking for a loop of this theme for the past 10 years

Nice loop for awesome music of my youth. I remember letting the time run out on this screen just to listen to this.

It was a choice between this and Tekken 3. I went with Tekken 3 for nostalgia as that was a time I used to work at the Chessington World of Adventures theme park and after work we used to have Tekken 3 battles with the guys from work back in 1998. Also the arcade machine was really really loud!

We still have this game on my dad's ps1. We still play it from time to time, this song ALWAYS sticked out to me, so glad I found it

IMO, Tekken 2 had the best soundtrack out of all the games!

Someone asked me which tekken Character select theme was the best one.. in my mind it was tekken 3 so i told him tekken 3 .. now am listening to all themes again to re evaluate them and i think tekken 2 is the best one .. no biases

This game was released in europe for playstation in late 1996. Like 26 years ago! I played this late 90s as a kid.

This ost will always be so good. It's almost like the track is unintentionly telling you "No matter what character you pick, you'll still have a blast!".

my 1st tekken...for many ppl it was 3 which I loved but this game was so great and it was more complex then ppl gave it credit for in terms of gameplay and story....the music is great to has one of my favorite character rosters to this day

I prefer this over the arcade version, the arcade version is ok, but this version is more clear, and has more to it, the arcade version theme sounds like a short loop, though I still do like the arcade version, this one has more to it, and it's just great.

I used to go back and forth between 2 and 3. Love them both. Tekken 2 always had that early mid 90s ish TRUE 90s vibe. Tekken 3 of course changes the series, but tekken 2 and tekken 4 are unique in that the both upgraded the game series and the installment after (3 and 5) refined and perfected the features and game play of its immediate predecessor.

I remember brining this game home as a little kid couldn't wait to play it on the playstation
