Guys!! I did the math from about 23:35 ish. At the time of this video, they've been making music for ten years. Multiply that by 12, for each month, and you get 120. They've also released 6 albums in that time span, spending 18 months touring each record. Multiply 6 by 18, and you get 108. So, they've spent 108 out of 120 months, or 9 years, on tour.

Man this interview was amazing! I wish all interviewers could actually ask questions that T and S want to answer. If I were in this interview I would totally feel like Tegan and just sit there and watch Sara and J talk so much about so many intelligent things and just sit there like 'Yeah, hi!' I mean, they are both equally intelligent but I feel like these kind of interviews is where Sara shines and she gets to talk the most. I could watch this over and over!

these girls looks young but they are smart af! I've never enjoyed a conversation like I did this in a while! props to these ladies!

I loved how Tegan reacted to Jian's reply about marriage (19:45). Such an intelligent reply. And exactly explains how some (mostly women) feel about being pressured by society to get married cause it's some ultimate goal/destination.

It's good that they treat their profession as a "business" because that means they are serious about putting out quality material. I admire their work ethic. Bless them. :)

I've said this ten million times. I love these two girls. Great songwriters and girls with great personalities and put on a great show. I want to see them live next time they come to the New Jersey, New York area.

Wow, it's so crazy how much more mature they seem now then even like...two years ago. This was a great interview too, it was informative and interesting and funny at the right moments. I heard them talk about a lot of topics they haven't covered in previous interviews.

tegan has a really nice way with words...i never noticed it before

i actually liked the interviewer. he has a calming/classic sound to his voice rather than the loud shouting "hey hey hey!" most hosts have. i also like how tegan and sara openly discuss their songs. most bands don't go so in-depth so it's great to get insight into some of your favorite songs.

@Turminak To be fair, lots of interviews you see are REAL quick because sometimes the artist has 5 or 6 more to do and so they can only be a couple of minutes long. So seeing a half hour long, indepth interview can be new/surprising in that context for some.

They are great writers and more people should know about them but I dig the hell out of them so that's all that matters. :)

Jian keeps cutting them off and ignoring what they're saying! The interview is about them, not him. The idea of an interview is to give a question and let them talk and answer the way they want to. They're so clever though, they don't let him push them around, and at certain points they're even, like, passively making fun of him. Whatever, still a great interview because of how in depth Tegan and Sara (especially Sara) get into about the meaning of their album and relationships.

@FarawayLea Tegan and Sara are really good at giving intelligent interviews because they are really intelligent... however, not many interviewers actually challenge them and push further than their brilliant statements. In short, I agreed completely.

personally I really like the interviewer, I have seen t and s get interviewed by some proper rude fucks, who ask irrelevant ignorant and quite rude questions. And then they get a lot of those ‘I actually I don’t care about your band im doing this as it’s my job’ kind of interviewers who ask boring questions that they have been asked so many times. And well Tegan and Sara are just so hot.. ..and intelligent and beautiful and cute and funny and thoughtful and all the wonderful things.

I am quite surprised with how beautiful and cool these girls are. I only ever saw pics on their cd's and (not to be mean) thought they were really plain and unattractive. Seeing this I totally changed my mind. They're so pretty and really smart. I definitely will give they're music a go.

I always thought Jian was a great interviewer....when this came out in 2009 and now looking again in 2020. There were few people doing these shows where a sense of banter would be welcome. A little poke and deflation in both directions made this one of their best long form interviews. It was a sad thing that he had such demons that the only possibility was a crash and burn.
