i used to listen to tegan and sara all the time and being obssessed with their album "the con" when i was 14/15 and some other earlier stuff of theirs and at that time i was also i the process of coming out as a lesbian.. as i've grew older my taste and their music changed and i kinda stopped listening but i always try to follow them and watch interviews and stuff like that because they are such intelligent and awesome people. i'm always really happy when i see them kinda trending and more people being able to discover them. i'll always be a fan

Tegan and Sara are 39 and they are twins. Their mother was 39 when they graduated at 17. Tegan was explaining how she wouldn’t be able to take care of 17 year old twins at 39.

Just because you haven't heard of them doesn't mean they aren't well known. I've been listening to them since 2007-ish and I felt like I was late to the game. They've been on The L Word, won awards, started a foundation, tour the world, have several albums and a few books and DVDs, and have been making music and touring since they left high school in the 1990s. So, just because you don't know them and one new song of theirs has fewer views than you expected doesn't mean they aren't successful and worthy of being on this channel. They might not be Taylor Swift, but who cares?

I started listening to Tegan and Sara roughly about a year ago. My gateway song was Closer. I got into their more I guess poppy albums first; Heartthrob and Love You To Death. Then I listened to their whole album Hey, I'm Just Like You, and fell in love with that whole album. I just had to check out their older music. It took me a while to get used to their older sound, but now I'm hooked on pretty much all of their albums. I also listened to their demos and read their book. Tegan and Sara make great music. I wish I would have been more open to their music when it initially came out. They've been writing, playing and performing longer than some of you have been alive. If you like any artists that identify as LGBT. Tegan and Sara have helped pave the way for some of those artists to be accepted and succeed in the music industry. Please try and be a little more respectful in your comments about their music. This song is only one song off of their 9 albums and collaborations.
