We spoke with rapper Teether, about his influences, which range from hip hop acts such as Milo and Earl Sweatshirt to death metal band DeathSpell Omega. His thoughts on Melbourne’s rap scene and what keeps him motivated to continue being creative.
Teether is a Brunswick based producer and rapper. Member of Melbourne label and collective X Amount Records, with the likes of Realname, Stoneset and Deanjames. Established in 2015, the label and its artists have created their own lane in Melbourne’s growing rap scene with their unique sound
His most recent project ‘Dont Come Back Here’, a collaborative project with label mate Stoneset is a 15 track album with lead single ‘The Sun’. Guest verses from local rapper and also a member of X Amount Records, Realname. As well as American artist, Laxx P, Billy Woods and Lorde Fredd33.
