teeth whitening with braces
I’ve been having more and more people ask me if it’s okay to whiten their teeth with braces on… and my answer is… well it’s a longer answer because depending on what type of whitening you use (it will or will not work) but all that aside…easiest answer is just don’t do it!

It’s WAYYYYYY more important to focus on keeping your teeth CLEAN during your braces journey (proper brushing, flossing, etc) because when you have braces on your teeth, it’s harder to keep them clean, in general!!!
So don’t worry about whitening them right now - but instead, worry about preventing cavities and stain and gum disease with proper home hygiene (brushing, flossing, etc) AND THEN…once you get them off and find that you are cavity and gum disease free… THEN you can whiten! Do NOT do that! Once braces are off, you’ll have yellow squares on your teeth
