I like him too, his name is Jasser and he's a great guy. I just got in to Legend of Korra and Avatar: the Last Airbender too and Korra is the best female protagonist to be the avatar along with Kyoshi and Yangchen. real music is derogatory. This is music, just not the "right" music that society wants us to like. In this day and age, you have to be politically correct, sensitive, and accurate. Art does not have to be any of these, just a form of expression. Whether she wants to express her need for attention, tell every woman with no butt that they are unattractive, or if she just wants to have fun, this is a form of expression.

I got my information from The Independent article was from july 2014 your seems more outdated.

I think the lap dance scene at the end of the video is actually quite powerful. She's in TOTAL control of the situation. Drake is there entirely on her terms, and isn't allowed to touch her.

I find it to be more objectifying than empowering. If the video and song were literally all about women doing what they want, that would not be as objectifying, but the message I got was from Drake. His role in the song made it all about objectification than anything else. The song, for me, was all about men not wanting or being attracted to women unless they have the body that the media has personified as the perfect woman. That isn't empowering at all. That tears down women who look different or who are plus sized or a different race, etc. Your body should not be all that matters to a man. Nicki's part in flaunting her body may come off as empowering to some, and maybe that's a good thing, but the over all message to me was pure objectification of women.
