What was specified since 2010 or so is you couldn't feint the actual kick like the example here. You can still feint the start of the run up but like you say, once on the move, you couldn't feint anymore.

You can pause, or stutter, only on the action where you plant your standing foot. You can't stutter on the action where you kick the ball.

If you think Neymar is rolling on the floor too much, please take a look at his injury record. The problem with not faking injury is that the referee won't blow the whistle if the player doesn't looked hurt even when it actually was. Henry once said about the 2006 UCL final against Barca that he took a lot of beating from Barca players but he stood up to it and the referee doesn't give the fouls. If he knows that was the case he would be rolling every single chance he gets. Yes, some players trying to get advantage with this by faking it and that's also a problem. But dribblers like Neymar Hazard Messi and Salah were targeted too often. Hazard was the most evident example. He became the most fouled players for a continuous couple of season and the second most fouled players behind Hazard was NOWHERE near as many as Hazard have. And look where is Hazard now. The players is at fault too, that's undeniable but the referees also must take more responsibility in protecting these players.

And like GKs didn't have their tricks too (fake-jumping to one side, pointing, distraction). Penalties are a mostly a mental game and each one have their guns

On the other hand people are more surprised/ pumped when a GK saves a pk. Neymar is the definition of a weak player imo. All the talent in the world but even so, he dives / does every dirty tactic to try and get an advantage. His career has demonstrated his weakness, no player in the past few decades has underachieved more so then Neymar.

Fucking THANK YOU. It is beyond aggravating how Sports will literally cater to the weakest links, and force themselves into stagnation. Why evolve the sport, with tricks & counter-plays,… when you can just do the exact same thing for centuries on end and restrict all freedom of creativity? Absurd. Players nees to go beyond their limits and discover new avenues for the game, or at the very least train themselves to not be so damn complacent. Neymar begins using his ‘fake out’? Cool, then work on training your Goalkeeper so they don’t dive immediately, and that they learn to read the opponent. You know, as they are supposed to do, rather than mindlessly diving. Maybe a Goalkeeper will figure out a trick of their own to counter Neymar’s trick. Let the game evolve. Games need to grow. If the Olympics are for the peak of individual sports, then other major sports leagues, college leagues, professional leagues, etc should be for the peak of team sports. Players should be constantly striving to find new tricks & plays to gain an advantage, and not be screwed over by some damn regulation about something as innocuous as a ‘fake out’. Does it make the Goalkeeper’s job harder? Yes. That’s the point. These people are literally professional athletes in the highest sport institutions in the world. If they can’t handle the difficultly of a ‘fake out’ and trying to adapt to it or counter it, then replace them. There are literally millions of players who would. Let the strong consume the weak.
