The killer riff and bass were sampled by Madonna in 2005 for her smash 'Hung Up" no1 in 41 countries. Also tik tokers made it a huge trend some years back and new Gen boosted the video's views.Just think ... it's a song recorded 44 years !!!ago but still sounds so fresh and lush.!Respect!

Remember, too, that in those days the mixing down was all done on reel-to-reel tape decks without any computer-based assistance, nor any autotune.

ABBA was really a very talented and versatile swedish group that recording between 1972/1982 (and now comeback in 2021) and leads in 70s decade: two excellent musicians songwriters (guitarist Björn & pianist Benny) two top female singers (blonde Agnetha & brunette Frida) (before ABBA they each had her solo career in Sweden) remember that ABBA is an acronim with initials of your first names, and was two couples from 1969: Agnetha & Björn; Benny & A.Frida Agnetha & Björn split at end 1978 Benny & Frida split at begin of 1981 "Gimme gimme gimme (a man after midnight)" is a song influenced by American disco, after the success of the Bee Gees and the movie 'Saturday night fever" from the year before In this song you can see part of the volume and range of voice that the blonde Agnetha has ABBA was preparing their 1979 Tour of America and Europe, in the previous one , They recorded this song and filmed the video This is the only video in which all ABBA is seen in the recording studio, including staff musicians (bass guitarist and drummer) and sound engineer Michel Tretow at the controls, creator of the well-known 'ABBA sound' with his innovative 'wall of sound' multiplication technique (an adaptation of the works of Phill Spector) The official vídeo is a short versión, the recording of the single is more than 4 1/2 minutes (with a solo instrumental) The introduction and the instrumental ending, that characteristic sound of Benny's keyboards, is what Madonna used for her well-known hit "Hung Up" (with the permission of the composers Björn and Benny, granting them share the credits) just today is Benny birthday (77) Surely for the latter, with almost 430 million views, this is the second official ABBA video with the most views on KZread (behind "Dancing Queen", which has 800 million views) For a new reaction I suggest: "Fernando"or "Money money money" both from 1976 but diffrrent musical genre both with the brunette singer Frida in leads Thank you again for these video See you in the next ; GOD bless you My best regards from Buenos Aires , Argentina

One year ago ABBA released the official lyric video combining both lyrics to the original. There you could hear the Full version with the great instrumental-choral bridge. This is the 'butchered" edition for the supposed radio-friendly flow. Also if you listen carefully you can take notice of the super complicated backing vocals hidden underneath.Layers upon layers.A divine piece of music legacy.

Back when this was recorded (1979) they didn't have the technology to add too many instrumnts to the soundtrack so they had to be extra good at playing the ones that they did have - and Benny Andersson is a master at the piano. Please react to them singing "Take a Chance on Me". But be warned: it's gonna stick in your head 😉

So glad you've discovered Swedish Super Group ABBA - my favorite group of all time, and BEST GROUP EVER! Benny Anderson is the GENIOUS keyboard player who infused classic music, rock, Broadway, Swedish and German Schlager infusion into his music. He was married to the beautiful Anifrid (Frida) Lyngstad, the red head who also has solo on some classic (check out Fernando; Super Trouper;Money Money Money; Knowing Me Knowing You; When All is Said and Done; The Visitors. Bjorn Ulvaeus is the guitar player, collaborator and lyricist married to the beautiful Agnetha (blonde) Faltskog who has the voice of a Swedish Angel; check our her classic leads The Winner Takes it All; Thank you For The Music; My Love My Life; Lay All your Love on Me. ABBA stands for the 1st initial of their names. The combination of Benny and Bjorn's Musicsl genius their dedicatin to breajthrough sound engineering, and Frida and Agnetha's beautiful and unique voices, their other wordly harmonies, and then sprinkle their their "Swedish Accent Intonation" on each song, you have that ABBA MAGIC. Hope you continue on tour ABBA Journey - you will be transfixed. #1 ABBA Fan.

In their song Eagle his synth playing will make you feel your soaring high in the sky ( and Chase when you listen to it be sure and listen to the long play album version...great synth accompanied by some great electric guitar riffs). Then check out the eerie and foreboding sound of The Visitors, aliens or Russians ? All the best Chase, enjoy !

I liked that you liked this.If first time listen is enthusiastic then imagine all next times of re-visiting it.Btw do know that Abba had a lot of prejudiced negative criticism back at the time when these pop diamonds got released for being 'digestable",'commercial crap" that people would once chew and then spit them out and competely forget. Also us Abba fans got savagely bulled sometimes for supporting them. And in defence of them we kept on buying their records in unbelievable amounts so radio was kinda 'forced;' to play them. But now time proved who was right and who was wrong. And i'm so very proud that new generations love and enjoy unbashefully this majestic work they've left for us.

A separate comment, after your third reaction to ABBA songs I see with great joy your enthusiasm, surprise and admiration for their songs, especially for what seems to be your favorite member: Benny Andersson, the pianist/keyboardist who coincidentally turns 77 today All ABBA fans are making many different suggestions to you. and they will all be good at some point, because the ABBA catalog is really powerful in quality and versatility. But in these three songs you have seen only an important part of ABBA, the blonde singer Agnetha (my favorite) in two of the songs as lead vocals. and at the same level is the brunette singer Frida, who is also the leading voice in equal numbers with Agnetha, in addition to those in which they both share the lead (as in "Dancing Queen"). So at this point it seems better to me that your next two reactions are to songs with Frida on the lead vocals, so that you complete your idea of ABBA as a group in its proper importance. I left you two, "Fernando" and "Money money money" but I'm leaning towards the latter before (some here have already requested it too), because Benny's work on the piano is fantastic and will dazzle you And after you listen to Frida a couple of songs, there you can return dividing between both, and even consider the ones they share together, huge hits like Waterloo, Mamma Mia or Voulez Vous for example. (also , there are songs with the guitarist Björn on lead voice too) I wish you a great weekend best regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina, South America

I'm happy for you to discovered ABBA. I recommendation for you for the upcoming New years eve is "Happy new year" It is a quite somber song but still amazing! Benny (on the piano) was married with Agneta (the dark haired girl) and Agneta, the blond girl, was married to Björn on the guitar. Happy new year was written at the end of their career as a band and they also all got divorced around that time as well.

People below are right you need to hear more from Anni-frid on songs like 'Money Mney Money', 'Knowing Me Knowing You' and 'Fernando'. Benny Anderson is your guy on Piano and Bjorn the guy on guitar. A great one for really amazing harmony is 'Chiquitita' and on this one two Benny will astound you on piano. For one of the best songs ever written in terms of lyrics you need to hear the haunting 'The Winner Takes It All'.

They began by winning the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with their song "Waterloo". Also in that 1974 contest was Olivia Newton-John, who had a voice that rivals Karen Carpenter (they were friends). They had different styles though. RIP Kren and ONJ

People keep reacting to this SHORT RADIO EDIT It's the only version with relevant footage, but the studio version is really the real deal. This is just TOOO SHORT and because all the reactors COPY ONE ANOTHER or GO OFF OF WHAT ONE ANOTHER ARE DOiNG, no one reacts to the proper song! It's ANNOYING!
