when you are listening to a live Tool song do you ever have to stop and remind yourself that what you are hearing is LIVE

Few months ago "This is Tool your new favorite band" and she just laughed XD

The tabla section is not all Danny Carey. Part of it is played live by the master tabla player Aloke Dutta.

So glad I was finally able to see them! Not kidding, it was the most beautiful thing I've ever experienced and I was barely able to hold my tears of joy during the first songs.

"It will end no other way" he sings while ending the song exactly how it ended on the album. Brilliant.

@Chris M Yes. The ending of the live track sounded the same as the ending of the Ænima version.

Actually it’s a drum and tabla duet. The guy who is teaching Danny the tabla is playing on this track.

This new type of videos melts my heart. Love it! More videos like that!

Really love the videos, keep up the good work. Going make a suggestion for both of you guys, but I do feel the need to explain something first. My first ever band I was a actual true fan of was Pink Floyd, to this day own every album they have ever made. In High School a friend got me into Tool and I of course became a huge fan of theirs. The third band I ever really got into is Infected Mushroom. But even if its just in your free time check out "Saeed" by Infected Mushroom.

I was at this show. Over 2 nights they played every song but 2 from Opiate, Undertow and Aenema,.....plus a bunch of covers and had guests. Twas a great 2 evenings. To anyone who hit that fat joint I left for you in the mens room, you're welcome.

The Tabla solo is played by Aloke Dutta, Danny's Tabla master. cheers!

I've been listening to TooL for over 20 years and this particular version in my opinion is by far one of the best performances of all time. You are blessed for this to be a first time listener of this song. Welcome to the rabbit hole of TooL. Although unfortunately you are not aware of the 11th commandment. Though shall not ever talk or pause a TooL song, especially if its your first time hearing it.

She should watch the Pneuma drum Cam video. Danny is such a beast. He can play a different rhythm with each arm and leg at the same time.

And I’m pretty sure it’s “there’s no love in that” instead of “there’s no love in fear”

brian whitney well actually I’ve seen that vid 100s of times by now like most Tool fans. And he doesn’t play it identical to what’s on the record. During some parts he tries to add more other parts he takes away some subtleties

I really dislike this 'new' version. Love the original. Might be the only Tool song I don't love
