Pirate King is their debut song. Hongjoong's flow and tone is so unique and identifiable. The Um OEOs are done by Yunho in "Declaration" the intro track for this album. In Pirate King, it sounds like a layer of Yeosang and Yunho. When they sing it live, several members sing to make the layer (if they sing live and it's not part of the backing track depending on the performance). Jongho has always intensely engaged the camera. They filmed this is Morrocco. It was so hot that some of the staff had shoes that melted on the sand. The song Treasure was also filmed in Morrocco at the same time.

Yes, this was their debut. I'm actually kind of shocked Jongho is your bias considering you are a more of a rap fan, but this is only 1/2 of their debut songs. You should watch Treasure aswell which is a part 2 to Pirate King. Their vocals stand out a lot more in that one but I think you'll like it. Another song you should watch is "Say My Name", "Answer", "Fireworks (Im The One)", and "THANXX". I think you'll enjoy those too!! And thanks for the ATEEZ reaction!💓☺

I just realized that this being their debut song was basically them inviting us, fans, on their ship for a journey of greatness and asking us to wait on them cuz they'll show us more and more potential as time goes... Yes, that was their debut song! Another song that was in their Debut EP is Treasure (it has an mv) and it has nice rap parts by Mingi and Hongjoong, so I reaaally look forward to it. Cannot not mention the way how you look at Jongho while he is belting, there's smth in it and it's so cool how you found out his stage presence incredible, bc when Atiny talk about it, they always mean demon line, aka Seonghwa, San and Hongjoong, but we should appreciate Jongho's one more. Like you said, his gaze into the camera is very deep, and this is one of the things that attracts me so much about him... Their song “win” i would highly recommend, it sounds literally sick and is my second favourite song from them other then Guerilla. You will definitely love it trust me !!

Pirate King was one of two debut songs. Treasure was the other, and I'd recommend it for the rap. :) Both were filmed in Morocco and are therefore awesome and beautiful. They very often give ATINY samples of two songs and then let them choose which becomes the official MV (which is how we had both Deja Vu and Eternal Sunshine as choices). They're unique that way. 4:35 I've never seen someone get through a first listen to this without stank face. I think it's physically impossible, and for good reason! And asking "will you be my friend" in a debut track? Legends. 8:04 Hong Joong is also a singer (scope his solo covers), and he absolutely incorporates the ability in his raps, giving him a lot of diversity of sound. When he combines that with cadence, flow, and really innovative lyrics (first letters that spell ATEEZ, for instance). 12:01 another example of the ship imagery, with the Captain at the wheel. The choreo also makes a ship's bow at 6:13. 16:39 Treasure series, Fever series, now The World. And it's a performance video because it's not really telling a story, the focus is mostly on the dance (like Hala Hala versus Answer). 18:04 I don't think they'll disappoint, but I have the feeling there will be some things you like less than others just because of the style or flavor. Recommended next Answer and Say My Name (after Treasure, just for the juxtaposition). Glad you liked it!

Actually a lot of members can get quite low with their voice, but mostly it’s Mingi, Yunho, Yeosang and Seonghwa (although San also has a beautiful deep tone at times like in Celebrate). People are often surprised when they see the range that Yunho has and sometimes for example even members are confused with who recorded a deeper/growl part, if it was Mingi or Yunho

And that is exactly what made them stand out in my ears. I also like Jongho's voice when he goes lower. Obviously their music is quite unique too, but at first it's really their lower voices that made me dig into them. Always looking for deeper voices in Kpop ;) male and female.

@lemonssssssss4 Yes, Kpop likes young and clear voices. Deep AND mature is quite a lot to ask xD raspy is even rarer. I love Mingi's voice but yes it's true he sounds really young... I mean, he is ! Maybe we'll have to wait for Felix, Seonghwa, Yeosang, Mingi and others to grow older ;) ... Maybe P.O when he'll be back from the military !!! For female voices it's worse, it sounds like they're asked to sing as high as possible even when their natural tone is not. I mean, there's G-IDLE but it's very rare.

@lemonssssssss4 In my opinion Taehyung from BTS has a mature deep voice. If you check out is solo song "Stigma" for example it becomes really aparent. Sadly BTS didn't use his deep voice that much.

You have to keep in mind this is their DEBUT....This is how they chose to start..... They didn't give us much choice but to fall in love.

They come from a supperr small company and was the first trainee/group the company ever had, and had very little money so they often used free sets to budget which you can see in their beginning Mvs until they started making money. Even as an atiny I don't know who sings the "umm oeo" part, to me it sounds like maybe they mixed Yeosang's and Yunho's voices, like they did with the growl at the beginning (Yunho talked about it in an interview that they might've mixed his and Mingi's voice for the growl but even he wasn't sure lol)

The best Valentine's Day gift, I met Ateez for his song Fireworks but when I heard this song was that I fell more in love with his music is such an addictive song to the ear, Pirate King is his debut song but they also promoted another song at the same time that it is treasure, thank you for continuing to react to Ateez.

Thank you!!!! I have been screaming at people (not irl lol) about how intense Jongho's eye contact is with the camera. Moreover, he always finds it, even in the crowd, you can see him spotting fans' cameras and looking straight into it like his life depended on it, and I think that's totally amazing! He is an outstanding vocalist, but people miss his performance level when it comes to stages and lives in general. He goes hard, he even goes hard during mvs when he is in the far back, which means he feels it naturally, just like you said, it seems like it is part of his personality and human ID. Having him as a bias was the best thing that happened to me because he, without even knowing it, urged me to always try harder and be the better version of myself. Jongho is incredible!
