There's always gotta be someone in the comment section using the loss of a loved one as an excuse to get attention and sympathy. Such gross behavior. There's no reason to comment something like that in a place like this unless it's purely for attention.

@@soumyajit__ You're vastly generalizing to suggest "sharing emotion" is akin to specifically highlighting someone's death and using it as a tool for sympathy and attention. Wording is extremely relevant. There's also a massive difference between someone creating art in the form of a song to express and emotion or experience, and leaving a comment on a song like the OP. It's a massive stretch to suggest those are the same types of things, strictly based on the vast and variable topic of emotion. Regardless, I understand where you're coming from and I'm not upset with you for trying to show empathy to the OP and attempt to defend them. I just respectfully disagree. I understand music evokes emotion and memories. People hear songs and feel something. Despite that, I'm of the opinion that when people make posts that specifically highlight a loved ones death in this manner. To me it comes off as leveraging the death to get sympathy as attention. There's no reason to post that type of comment on a public forum like this unless it's because you're looking for sympathy and people to feel bad for you. They also leverage the fact that some people will feel emotional while listening to this song and that can make some people act more sympathetic. If someone was just wanting to generally share what this song means or meant to them without fishing for sympathy over a death. There are countless other things they could have commented and expressed to show their connection to the song, without leveraging the death of a loved one. Hopefully that better explains my perspective and opinion. I'm not trying to argue with you or debate. We can both share our thoughts and respectfully agree to disagree. We don't have to be enemies because we see things differently on a singular topic.

This song reminds me of the one i let go so long ago. He was deeply in love with me but i didn't feel the same way. He was a lot older than me and even though i did love him, i knew we wouldn't have lasted. But i still wonder. That was over 15 years ago. He still gets to me. I'm with someone else now and we are married. I know he's my person but the other guy still gets to me occasionally. This song is very beautiful and not sure if i can handle listening to it again. I can't keep thinking about what might have been. I love Teddy Swims though, his voice is unmatched to anyone else's. He sings the blues better than anyone else.

In 2001, my gf died in my arms in the hospital. She was 25. Autopsy stated COD was Tylenol poisoning. Said she lived the last 3 months of her life with less than 1/10 of her liver. She was, is, and will always be beautiful. She and i waited 3 years to be together. We were always dating other people. When we finally got our chance, it was amazing. She was it for me. I still miss her. Her loss still brings tears to my eyes, like now 😢. I still think of her often, especially on that fateful day. This song hits those feels.
