Not only am I stunned and amazed at the sheer ability of this vocalist, but the recording, production, musicianship, homage to the soul era it stems from, and also it speaks to me on a very deep level. I feel like I should have had this song with me throughout my lifetime, and it has, upon ONE LISTEN, immediately gone into my classics playlist folder. It's a wonderful portrayal of the strength of human spirit and the torment it can experience.

I heard this in my music class when we randomly selected a song from the radio and listened to it to find out how the structure of a song goes. After listening to it once there, I knew I had to listen to it again. And since then this has been one of my favorite songs.
