Not hardly. This is a badass song. As a 48 year old guitar player, when I first heard this many years ago, I wore out the tape. Just like everyone, Ted has lost the MOJO due to age. The solo was very choppy and loaded with sour notes.

This never gets old. From an ex squid to the USMC, which my grandfather served in during WWII, semper fi! God bless America! Let’s take our country back!

You should go back and listen to the original song again. The beginning riff and the main solo were full of sour, off notes.

The pure joy on Sully's face throughout this entire thing.. He is legit one of the "happiest" people it's ever been my fortune to come across.

30+ years later this song still mesmerizes. Ted hits every note as if it were straight off the original....Damn that is some Fine Guitar Playing !!! Godsmack does a fantastic job backing him up. As a Veteran myself Thank You Ted and Godsmack for supporting these young folks for giving all of us the freedoms we enjoy today.

This is absolutely my favorite Ted Nugent song. Seen him live back in the 70's. He jumped off a double stack while screaming his guitar. Pure awesome.

John Jones Ted has been voted top guitar showman of all time by we the people. Hendrix was asked about Ted after they played together and Hendrix said Ted was a very proficient and technical player. Ted has been an influence to some of the best players in the industry Slash, Zakk Wylde ect.

He works that neck pickup (prob a PAF) and gets those huge hollow swells. The man is an absolute guitar god. From the original old school of rock n roll he’s top 3 especially when it comes to those heavy grooves. 1. Hendrix 2.Iommi 3.Sweaty Teddy!!!!!!!

Nathan one of the all time great solos - so much feel and not trying to fill all the space with notes - nobody plays sustain & feedback like Ted - better when it is almost uncontrollable on his byrdland.

Just found this a couple days ago and I remember him form last 70’s and his music just still to this day speaks to my soul☘️🧜‍♀️🇱🇷

The first time I saw Ted was 1975 at Cobo arena which was pretty much the only place the biggest rock acts would play at that time. a new band from Canada warmed up for Ted named Rush, who just came out with a new album called Fly by night. This song put him on the map nationally but for the longest time he was Detroits best kept secret. By the next time I saw him in 1978 He was the biggest selling Rock artist in the US, Stranglehold album has to be one of the top 5 rock albums of all time. Every song on it rocks. I still dig Deadly Tedly

I saw Ted Nugent in the late 70. It was at the hi-way drive in. In fort Lauderdale florida. It was billed as the battle of the guitarist. Ted Nugent vs. Mike Pinera. It was 4 dollars. How can you beat that. Ted broke a big glass he put on top of his amp just with high notes from his guitar.Ted is too awesome for words.

In the USA a man should be able to speak his mind so I have no problems with him AND man can he play the guitar!

Citizen Smith Just look him up. There's things Petrucci can do that Ted Nugent can't, and that doesn't apply the other way around. There's nothing Ted Nugent can play that John Petrucci can't. That's how I define outplay.

Citizen Smith Yes. They are. We're talking pure technical skill here. In pure technical skill, fucking Nickelback would outplay the Beatles. I'm not saying they make better music, I'm just saying that Nickelback's members have mastered their instrument better than the Beatles.

Saw Ted at Gilligan's a live music bar in Buffalo in about '69 / '70. He kept playing till the owners had to pull the plug on him. We met with Ted and his band after the show at the airport Holiday Inn. He talked to us for quite a while, even though he had a few ladies waiting for him. Great guy.

Uncle Ted has been the best since the 70's. Got to see him from the front row at the Omni in Atlanta.....He's almost 75 and still does his thing

I,m from the UK and 54 yrs old and this song takes me back to 18 yrs old when i bought Double Live Gonzo.What an artist Nugent is.Amazing guitar player.Still brilliant Live even now.

He is still known as The Motor City Madman. Probably because he was born in Redford Charter, a suburb of Detroit,and raised in Metropolitan Detroit. He went to high school in Arlington Heights which is a suburb of Detroit. He didn't move to Jackson County till he had already made it in music and bought his ranch there, Sunrise Acres.

I've seen Ted at least 10 times and I have to say this is the best stranglehold I've ever seen .period
