Ted wanted robin all along, the ending was perfect

Robin was not perfect for Ted, she was GOING TO be perfect for Ted

I can never forget Robin's green top first look. I don't remember when was the next time she looked as great as that. Her white summer dress announcing her come back to dating world looked great as well. She looks great all the time but her green top with a high neck was an amazin introduction.. very simple nothing fancy about it but showed her coolness. Anyway my favorite color was green at the time. And we liked high necks a lot where I lived… I dont know why it was fashion at the time but high necks were a fashionable thing when I was in college..

She is really incredible. I understand why he said he just wanted Robin.

Just binge watched this entire show. Ted and Robin are a horrendous couple. She is a flakey narcissist who always only wanted what she couldn't have. Led Ted a merry dance for most of it and he is poster boy simp. Funny supporting cast.

To quote Ted's kids the whole point of the story is You are totally totally totally in love with aunt Robin 😇😃😄

I respect the ending. Cause in life everything isn’t perfect or has a Disney love time line. It’s real life. Sometimes the timing just isn’t right . But true love still found it’s way and in the end Ted and Robin eventually got what they wanted. Ted had the love his life and had a family, unfortunately real life throws us curveballs . Robin got to focus on her career and when the time was right they found each other again. I love it.

Ted and Robin are just perfect together, the ending couldn't have been any more perfect ❤️ Since the very beginning we've known they had to end up together, everything was just about timing for them . Maybe Tracy was perfect for him but Robin was the love of his life and turns out Ted didn't want perfect he wanted Robin. And Robin has always been in love with Ted but she didn't chose him bc she knew she couldn't give him the family with kids he wanted so bad, she chose his happiness over hers and that's true love. Again: PERFECT ENDING!! ❤️

I feel once she found out she couldn't have kids, he wouldn't have cared about the lack of kids. I do feel she loved him and knew she wasn't ready to give the relationship she thought he wanted. Barney couldn't take being married to her with her career.

They both make a perfect couple I got so emotional when they showed these scenes after Season 2 1. The flashback of Robin hating olives in the episode where Robin eats Olives and Ted getting sad at the end in the same episode when Robin kisses Barney 2. Robin asking Lily that why Ted isn't marrying her before Ted and Stella's wedding. 3. Ted getting hurt after receiving text that Robin and Barney are engaged

Hate post(due to personal situation) alert: I am continuously watching this series for a straight 5 days. Literally I can't even focus on my job. LITERALLY I CAN'T FOCUS ON MY WORK. this series is mind blowing, its everything I need. In list of friends and office, this series also joins. But I am waiting for weekend. I need to submit a doc which I am procrastinating for a week which can be done by 1 day max. I have been never out of control this much. I am crying out load to focus on my career and yet Ted and Robin are the words my mind keep uttering. Watching my one of best series in one of my worst times is a sad bcoz the series is the only thing which makes it sad.

These are really interesting comments. I personally believe that the ending of HImym is very flawed and doesn't jive with the narrative that was made in 9 seasons, but I respect their are people who believe the ending was perfect despite it all.

Robin is extremely sweet and beautiful . And hot ! Ted is the cutest .. I am happy at the very very end they are together

Title of the show should have been: How I fell in love with Robin. Once I saw Tracy dying , the ending was predictable

something about them reminds me of ross and rachel. they were so cute together and it was all so perfect and they would have made an incredible endgame.. if it hadnt gotten so complicated. i wanted them together so bad but the way it turned out at the end of the season 9 just.. didn't seem right to me. it could be so simple but it wasn't. and it kinda bugs me still love them in the first two seasons tho, incredibly sweet and imperfectly perfect

Ross and Rachel are different because in Friends the characters never develop. Their character stays the same from ep 1. Ted and Robin grow up through the seasons. Although, I agree about early HIMYM being peak HIMYM (S1-S4) I think it all changed when S5 took the plot down Barney and Robin- the thing is that the writer didn't want to be predictable and didn't want to end up like Ross and Rachel ( will they, won't they trope) so she took a different route for Robin on purpose, despite the story leading itself to that. (An author should never fight their characters, they are the ones who tell the story not the author) Even in S5 it was established that Barney and Robin don't work out; even more so because their health deteriorates and the gang also decided to break them up because of how unhealthy they get. So to me the whole Wedding was bullshit- Barney admits that he bangs women to compete with all the other males. So when Barney finds out Robin likes Ted his line "This is HUGE" has a double meaning. He fixates on Ted so much because in a way he envies him. HIMYM is an example where sometimes being predictable and classic is not a bad thing. You don't have to be edgy all the time to be nice and interesting. The whole Tracy and Robin thing is dumb to me because widows re-marry and thats fine, also they had another season planned with Tracy but they got axed, so they just showed the ending (Tracy's passing) A new love doesn't diminish a past love, both are real and equally important.

Season 1 ted and robin were perfect for each other, but people change. Season 9 ted and tracy were perfect. Robin should have already been out of the picture.
