Tecsun PL-680 PLL Receiver VS Tecsun PL-330 DSP on WRMI 15770 kHz Shortwave

Ғылым және технология

Comparing the two radios using the W6LVP loop, both perform really well, PL-330 audio is amazing for such a small radio

I have the same feel with my PL-660. It is easy to use but not as versatile but is still works great.

Hi Gilles, you should add a tube radio into equation 😊. Why does the fading of the radio happens?

I desire to use one of these for listening music on the room, what about the speaker, which gives better sound quality?

I really like the 680. EXCEPT the bandwidth limitation. It is a beautiful design, solid and good sensitivity and sound. HATE the fact you only have those 2 choices in bandwidth...this really affects SSB ham radio reception. Other than that, I like the 680...its a very unique radio.

What about comparing radios receiving very weak signals?. While one radio can get something, the other ones gets nothing.

There are three things missing on this radio, only one do I wish it had.... •Air Band (wish it was included in the 330) [The 680 has Air Band] •No kickstand (so what) •The STEP button is smallish and flat or slightly recessed in the faceplate. (I personally don't have a problem using mine, and I have rather large hands. •BONUS ITEM: Many believe that the lack of AA batteries in the design is a deal breaker. This is more a matter of convenience for me, unless we enter into a prolonged disaster or other emergency where I cannot charge one of my BL-5C batteries that the PL-330 uses. (My H-501 and PL-680 will remedy this problem.) [Along with the battery issue, many don't care for the muting, either, considering that a deal breaker, from all the comments I have read from viewers and subscribers.] As far as a pocket radio, the PL-330 is small enough to fit in just about any area you need to pack or bring along. It's really a powerful radio, as seen in the plethora of videos and reviews online. It even beats out the C Crane CC Skywave and other similar models as evidenced by the KZread reviews, though I cannot personally speak on the C Crane, myself, unfortunately. It's small, yet still usable and all the control interfaces are still usable and it has just as big of an LCD as all the other Tecsun radios.
