Just got me a pair of these Tecova Johnny model boots! All I can say is they are awesome! The company’s customer service is awesome. The Boots were true to size and the material is of superior quality. I did some yard work in these boots and can tell you they are definitely water repellent. I’d have to cross a river to say if they were truly waterproof. Awesome boots, I only wish they made them with the Vibram souls like the Banderas model!!! I’ll definitely be doing business with Tecovas in the near future!!! 🇺🇸

Saw their ad two weeks ago, buddy at college has a pair of something else they make. Just got mine in Granite suede delivered today. First pair of suede boots. Really comfortable for a fresh fit.

I love my luccheses, don't get me wrong, but even the $450 suede Luchesses aren't even waterproof. Great boots for the price. They also make great bootcut jeans that aren't too baggy or too skinny--definitely recommend this company!

Cowboy C Bop makes sense! It’s a great price for American made jeans too, most American made jeans are in the $200+ range, theirs are only $125. It’s pricey, but they are very nice jeans and very worth the money. I own a couple pair

I only wear once in a while . But they still look and feel awesome !! They seem to of gotten even more comfortable over time . Didn’t know that was possible. Cause I remember being brand new the leather was very soft like . The leather soles are usually the first to go …. But again - holding up very well . The Fall Winter season is my favorite time of the year to break these out .

I a unable to make videos at this time but have told quite a few people about your knife giveaway. In other people's live stream I would ask if I could tell everyone about your giveaway just to help you out. I hope that you got an increase in subscribers. I will be watching to congratulate the winners.

Great Question!!!! The answer is No . This is how I’ve received. It’s been a while since I’ve updated . Proud to say they are still holding up very nicely . Granted I only wear during the fall and winter months . Nice and comfy !!!

So basically any kind of treatment was already done by Tecovas . I don’t know about treating them again …. I try to only wear on nice days . Been caught in the rain or snow very few times .

I have a question I would like for someone to answer. If I buy leather soles boots which I’ve never owned before will they perform fine as work boots, or will they fall apart then they get wet?

Well ??? It all depends on what type of work you or someone else is doing . I only wear Cowboy boots on a ranch , for every day wear if I feel like it , going out to bars or dancing with the Missus , or even going out to dinners and of course my trips to the local rodeo or an extensive trip to Nashville . Basically I wear them wherever or whenever . But I never wore them to work . I never wore if I was going to be on hard floors for long periods of time . Now I know a bunch of truck drivers that wore cowboy boots all the time . I used to load and unload trucks for a living at the main plant for the USPS , and no way I could wear Cowboy boots on that hard concrete floor for 8 to 12 hours a day . I wouldn’t want to wear when cutting the lawn . I wouldn’t want to wear when shoveling snow . I have now about 5 or 6 pair of Cowboy boots - each one is a different style . I have my black square toe boots for dress occasions . I have these Tecovas suede rough outs for casual days / nights ( they look really nice with denim and a nice suede western style vest ). I have my rough out square toe buckaroo boots for riding . I have a pair of Justin ropers for riding and ranch work . You could wear the Tecovas for riding and ranch work too but I don’t want to dirty them up . ( working on a horse farm can get pretty messy ). All in all - it comes down to the wearer . You could try to wear at work . I don’t know what you do for a living . If you are behind a desk all day , I’d say sure . If you are a plumber or electrician I’d say no . You know what I mean haha 😂. If you work around dirt and mud , buy a pair of Cowboy boots with the regular leather - not the suede . Especially if you want to keep them nice looking . Regular Cowboy boots you can just hose off the dirt and they will be fine . The suede rough out will start to just look old and beat up but they shouldn’t fall apart . I hope this helps . @@tubes5150 well it wouldn’t be everyday work it would mainly be on the weekends and a couple of weekdays a week, so they wouldn’t be getting in mud and water everyday. If they go for a good price I might try to buy them still for my work boots, because I have a nice pair of ariats for my town boots.

Hey how’s it goin ? I’m a Carhartt nut haha . I’ve had that jacket for years . That’s a Carhartt J 97 Moss jacket . Funny you should mention Carhartt . Yesterday was my birthday. My wife gave a new Carhartt jacket . No hood !! Style 104468 Canyon brown . I love it ! It’s a new and improved style of the original duct coat . Check that out too . ( I got all kinds of Carhartt gear so you came to the right place ). Always remember... they run big !!! Most of my other coats and jackets are a size XL . A large is perfect . @@jasonsanders6630 hahaha I hope you like them !! ( both the Jacket and the boots ). I wore the Ariat Square toed boots for ages . When I bought the Tecovas it was a nice change . I don’t ride anymore but I still keep a few pair around just in case ( the old rough stocks ). I drive my wife nuts with my Carhartt gear , my Cowboy boots ( and other types of boots ), and my knife collection . But at least I’m not out with the guys all the time , ya know ? It’s a harmless addiction haha . I drive a crap car . But my footwear and knife collection are epic ! Haha haha haha Hey - let me know what you think when you receive. Hope you were as happy as I was ( I remember I ordered them and they arrived in just a few days ). Super Fast !! Matter of fact ?? I think it was my birthday either last year or year before .???? Time is flying by too fast !!!!

Ryan Fleming Funny .... just the other day I was online trying to find the difference. I think Tecovas should know . Even on their description it says Both . They feel like rough out. My wife has suede boots and they feel like silk almost ( hard to describe ). The Johnny - has like a more bushier pattern . If I was a betting man , I’d say Roughout . Let me know if you find out .

Ryan Fleming Funny you should say that ... I just posted the other day about an MTech Knife . In my demonstration you can see I’m wearing cowboy boots . ( I got them from Yeehaw Cowboy ). They are my favorite pair now to wear when I’m riding a horse or just playing In the dirt . They are narrow square toed . Again -- are they suede or roughout ??? Now I First need to apologize. When you asked that question about the Tecovas , I was automatically thinking of the pair I’ve been wearing lately . They are definitely more rough out than the Tecovas Johnny . But not by much . I wish you could see them side by side to compare . I don’t want you to pay all this money for something you are not happy with . So if you want I can maybe do a side by side comparison. the way to test to see if your shoes/ boots are waterproof ? - fill them with water, set them out 24 hours - if water seeps out - not waterproof. thats the test JDS/CT

In real rain it's probably get wet. All these treatments always fail in actual rain not just someone pouring water on em. I assume its gotta to do with the velocity of the droplet.
